Is 6 people seated at an 8ft table weird?

We've had some last min changes to the guests attending, and we're trying to figure out the seating situation for a table for 9 guests and a table for 6 guests (potentially 7)...would appreciate any input 

Option 1: 8ft table, 6ft table

Option 2: 8ft table, 8ft table

Always veer toward more space, not less, imo.  I'd much rather have a little more room and sit 6 people at an 8 foot table.  It doesn't really matter though, both options are fine.

I agree with this.  I think 6 people at the 8 foot table looks fine and would be more roomy.  But either one would work.

Let the people have leg room and arm room. I hate being so crammed in seated at a table or in a car.
