Yes, it's funny how people automatically assume that their love interest would even choose them, if the love interest's SO was no longer in the picture.

LW, I suspect your brother's wife would be better off without either one of you.  I hope she does divorce your brother.  Then rides off into the sunset and leaves this entire family behind (assuming no children in this marriage).
