Reasonably priced alterations

Hi Everyone,
So DB wants to charge 120 for the hem, 80 to take it in and atleast 60 for the bustle.  Does anyone have an alterations person that would be less?
I paid 470 for my dress, so paying an additional 260 for alterations just hurts.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
~natalie

I believe all wedding dress alterations are going to be pretty pricey. Remember - you get what you pay for, so you dont really want to skimp on that too much. My alteration place (Weddings by Debbie) quoted me pretty much the same price for the hem and bustle as you mentioned so that must be around average at least.

Those prices sound about right. I was in the same boat as you. I paid 400 for my dress and ended up spending 260 on alterations. It hurts, but is necessary.
And now we are as one

My best friend and i used Alterations by Anchalee in Spring, off of Aldine Westfield and 1960.  She had her bridal gown taken in on the sides and hemmed for less than $100 her dress had a lace overlay and she did an amazing job. She altered all of our bridesmaids dresses too. She is a super sweet lady, I drive to her from the galleria to have her do all of my alterations needs :-)
