I'm leaving my desk early because our 4x rescheduled anniversary milestone party for '20/'21 is today.  Half my team, including my boss, will be there.  I do have to put real clothes on and go downtown though.  

Prudie will be up here soon. 

We're almost there.

Woohoo have fun @mrsconn23.  I have one more full day at the recovery house but let me tell you, I’m ready to go now. I love my freedom. I now appreciate my freedom! Lol.  
I told my friend now it’s time to buy all my Shein wishlist tanks! But also, I have a closet full of tanks. Lol.  And now I want to seriously think of going to Salem and get my witch house tat I’ve wanted forever.  Probably late Sept when the weather is still good but it’s not crazy busy

Still sick, baby still sick, H still sick. Thankfully most of my team is out this week so it’s been slow. I no longer have a voice so I’m canceling any additional meetings I have today. Zero fucks given anymore.

I'm so ready for this week to be over. And of course for N to get home tomorrow. My aunt wants me to come out and see a band play tonight but I just don't know if I'm going to have the energy for it.

BK's at SFIL today because her school is closed.
It's a small school so when there's issues, they are kind of stuck.
1 teacher out with injury, 1 out with covid {outside of school} and now a class {not BK's} has to isolate because 1 kid tested positive.

Tomorrow we're doing Easter at my mum's.
Saturday is an Easter/bday party for MIL {her bday is tomorrow but they have plans}
Sunday is just BK, M & I  - probably make some mini pancakes after her little easter hunt {aka following bunny tracks to treats}

Monday M & I work and I think MIL & SFIL mentioned about watching BK - we have to ask.

{prep for a bit of a story & rant}
So fun little note - did I mention the drama with BIL and how he's not speaking to MIL or M?
He's mad at M because M called him out for being condescending. That was a long time coming, he'd been increasingly rude. Then when MIL tried to talk to him, he basically called her manipulative and ghosted her.

Luckily SFIL still talks to him. Apparently by the sounds of it, BIL is not ok mentally.
I have put my foot down because the other issue is that BIL has never had to handle consequences to his actions.
I absolutely detest how he's treated MIL & M, so I told them that until BIL apologizes that he is not welcome at our house. That means he is not invited to BK's bday.

Will I be rude at MIL & SFIL place if he attends? Absolutely not. But I won't hide the fact I'm displeased and if he asks, I will tell him it was my decision.
Also idc how he apologizes, but they deserve an apology. I told MIL that her and M can accept whatever apology he gives - that's their choice.

Ultimately I don't want to keep BIL away from BK, because unfortunately SIL misses out too. But I do want him to understand consequences to his actions affect those around him.

@charlotte989875, I hope you and your family start feeling better soon.  At least your work has been slow this week.

@MissKittyDanger, I hope BK enjoys Easter.  I'm sorry to hear about the troubles with your BIL.  Hopefully he gets his act straight and apologizes to your MIL and M.

I have a lot to get done at work today, but a short time to do it because I get off at noon!  I think I'll make it, though.  Once I get off work, it will be a mega Costco scan day.  We usually do the scanning over Thurs. and Fri.  But, since I'm getting off work early, we decided to get it all done today.  It will be a good thing because then I can take a "true" 3-day weekend and my H can focus tomorrow on just working on rental repairs.

For the long weekend, it will be a lot of relaxing.  But I also want to catch up on reading some personal development books.  As well as continue purging/organizing the stuff in my house.

i’m doing good, thanks for asking.  So far, less pain than the other one (but as he said, less organs too).

I think this is his 4th? I will definitely let you know after he gets home tomorrow. I can't wait to hear about it as well.

@short+sassy @CharmedPam apparently he's in therapy, so ideally eventually it'll come. I'm not pushing a timeframe honestly. If it takes 6 months, it takes 6 months.
MIL & M are very easy going and go with the flow - they both agree with my stance, but if I didn't do it they'd just let it go.

We drove up to Chicago today for the Easter weekend. It is also GS3 and H's birthday. GS3 was so cute eating the cheesecake I made for H. They birthday celebration for GS3 is on Saturday with the other grandparents and godparent along with us. The drive up was stressful because the wind was so strong and there were a bizillion trucks on I-65. H had to keep both hands on the steering wheel just to stay in his lane!

Glad to hear recovery is going well @CharmedPam. Sorry about all the BIL drama @MissKittyDanger. Healing vibes to you and the family @charlotte989875 .

I hope everyone feels better soon @charlotte989875.  Being sick is a good excuse to give zero fucks.

@MissKittyDanger Sorry about the drama, but I hope BIL realizes this issue.  It is difficulte when people don't have to face the consequences.  It seems to be so common though.  .

I was going to take today off and have an extra long weekend, but work was busy.  But I'm going to take Monday off, because I have a week of overtime saved up and if I don't use it, I'll lose it.  I had to tell my boss that I couldn't get everything done that he asked me and that I had to prioritize and he could choose.  It worked out.

Looking forward to Easter.  Looks like we are still hosting MIL and SIL.  It will be so nice - the first time they are over to our house for a meal!
