Things I will never understand.....

Why do people walk out of the exit of Target and Walmart and assume that cars will automatically stop for them? Am I just not a trusting person? They don't even look to see if a car is coming. They just roll that cart right out and keep on walking.

I think because they also don't think anyone needs to get around them when they park their cart sideways in the frigging aisles.
  • Yes, and then they look at you when you move that puppy out of the way. Excuse Me...

Because I have yet to be hit by a car? They should be going slow enough in the parking lot right by the doors to stop. And if they aren't, they'll hit the trolly and fuck up their car. Not my problem.

Eta: I grew up in a place where pedestrians have the right of way, if not by law by culture.
  • 90% of my shopping is online - but there’s always the times I can’t wait for stuff - I usually park around the corner on the side of the building from my walmart/target so I’m not crossing that intersection.

  • I always stop for pedestrians crossing, but I also always stop and look both ways before I cross. I don't trust these drivers.

  • I live in an area where we have tourist season.  They jump out in areas that are not cross walks and it's frightening.
  • I will never understand why employers will suddenly offer you what they should've been offering all along, to get you to stay after you've put in notice.  It just wastes everyone's time and money.

I will never understand why some people reject therapy.  I honestly cannot believe how much it helped me and how much I actually enjoyed it, even when it was difficult.

I will never understand dating apps.  I just can't.  I've tried a few times now and it's just not me.  One of my friends said it was b/c we were Gen X and wanted to be cruised and yeah, I think that's it.  I'm not sure that I am wanting a relationship, so using a dating app seems a bit dishonest, b/c that is not my goal.
  • I agree with all 3 of those.

At least people should try therapy before they say it won't help them. Dating apps and websites are the devil. Too much work and so not fun.

When H and i lived in Iowa he always used to complain about this being a huge pet peeve.  I didn't get it and never really noticed a pattern. Then we moved to IL (where he's from) and literally, people leave their carts all over the f'ing place and get really pissy when you move them. Like leave carts at the end of the aisle blocking the entrance, shop all up and down, move to the other aisle then come back.  It's wild.
  • Mine; when I pre fill put a form for something and then I get asked all the questions I put down anyway….

  • I also don’t get couples who don’t dress up in couple costumes for Halloween.

    Yeah. I said it.

    Who...don't?

I don't think DH and I have ever dressed up together for Halloween.   I also rarely dress up for Halloween.

  • Also don’t understand when there’s a two way exit/entrance for a parking lot and a car decides to take up both lanes to exit, so when you pull in, you have to wait until that car leaves BECAUSE they didn’t just try to leave out of the one lane they should have!
    Kwim?

  • People who stop in a lane of traffic and use it as their personal loading zone.  Especially when they could have just as easily pulled over to the curb.
