@MissKittyDanger that's adorable.  I'm so glad that they provide options other than sitting on Santa's lap to kids now.  It makes me happy.

I'm flailing a little bit at the new job, but it's because I'm not fully integrated in.  It's a little bit...something, that there's not a plan of action for integrating me in and that I'm making that plan, but I'll deal.  It's like a -55 on the scale of frustration from previous place so I can deal.  

Otherwise, SSDD.  Nothing too big going on right now.

@VarunaTT They can if they want but the bench is huge. M & I got in on photos too. Between Santa & the photographer, they set it up so he'd slowly inch over. Solid few side-eye photos from BK when she noticed he moved closer.
He then did a high-five, and by the end she was happy to give him a hug {the way it was worded "do you want to give me a hug?" was just perfect too}

Still have Covid. We kept M home again today. He has still has a runny nose but is testing negative. It’s wild to me that he *could* go in if we wanted to send him. Like thanks but we’re not jerks. 

I’m trying to work through being sick but honestly I just want to nap.

SSDD. I canceled my oral surgery for the 6th.  Reason? Just don’t want to get it.  It could be months or even years from now when i’ll need it and I’m just going to wait till I absolutely have to. It’s a tooth that’s growing crooked and not an emergency.  I also realized I really dislike my current dentist, and I have anxiety over going.  And it’s a free world and I shouldn’t feel like that, so I made an appointment with my old dentist office, new dentist - since the one I went to for years and love switched practices.  But to the city of Chicago.  So I don’t love her THAT much. Lol. But they’re booked out till February!

I have a really bad cold and it's zapping me of energy.  I got a good night's sleep.  It's only 10AM.  But I can barely keep my eyes open, lol.  I came to work because I needed to get stuff done, but I might leave early and/or take tomorrow off.

I'm wearing an N95 mask when I'm in community areas.  I keep having to stop and remind myself when I leave my cube, "Don't forget your mask."  I'm having memories of that being the norm less than 2 years ago.  How quickly I forgot the slight extra hassle (though worth it).

I'm feeling very blah today. I slept OK last night but still feeling super tired and what feels the start of a migraine. My new boss just continues to be awful. We're supposed to get more snow Thursday and Friday. 

I'm at least just about done with Xmas shopping and just have to start wrapping gifts as they show up. But of course the weekend is already packed with errands and appts. Ugh.

I'm taking my KN95 masks with me when I fly.  I don't want to do it but it's necessary for work.  The meeting I'm attending is also with a large group of people from Japan which also makes me want to have them on me in case that supports both my immune health and I'm not being disrespectful to cultural practices.  

My afternoon is going to be spent running around fretting that despite being relatively caught up on laundry I may not have anything to wear and I should pack for 2 days like I'm heading out on a 4 week adventure.

It’s going to be a terrible three days for me. I switched with a coworker and we were both covering urgent care so now I’m covering for three days instead of just two. Boo. Otherwise just the normal Christmas angst. What are we doing, where are we going? I hate that everyone is so spread out. We tried to host and my mom told me last night that it was too hard and she was having it at her house instead. The only problem is she didn’t ask me so we had two different plans going on because originally they had said okay to coming over. I’m trying to be patient and understanding, but communicate, please. 

My silver lining for the day is the doc’s office I’m covering for has a space heater. It’s on full blast and I’m loving it. 

Crazy that Christmas is already next week.

G is turning 3 on Saturday! We decided last minute to host our families for lunch if they are available and he is super excited. His favorite food right now is "frenchie" fries with "dip cheese" so we're ordering portillos sandwiches/fries/chicken/salad/pasta and he requested his cake be "chocolate, with plain (vanilla) frosting and trucks". So that's what we're getting Definitely looking forward to celebrating this strong and awesome kiddo.

my nephew turned 6 yesterday so I got a thank you for the gift call. I said “do you feel like you’re 6 now?”

If anyone's toes are super cold and it's not in the 20s by you like it is here, it might be because hell froze over- stbxh told me in advance that he will be taking the kids this weekend (his weekend) for Saturday only.  He understands he can't do overnights at this time (mainly bc the kids don't want to sleep there, but also bc he doesn't have beds for them) but was okay with Saturday only and actually let me know last night (I text him every Monday morning prior to his weekend to ask, he usually doesn't let me know until Friday).  I am excited for a few hours alone to get Christmas stuff done.  

Had some body aches and chills yesterday evening that I thankfully slept off, but it's a cold today (runny nose, sore throat). Negative at-home test this morning. Double masking at work but not feeling my best.  Throwing honey lemon tea at it and hoping to feel better soon.

I went to bed at 10pm last night like a good adult instead of staying up too late and damn if do I not feel rested today.  LOL  

It was sunny for a little bit here.  Rain is coming, though.  

I'm procrastinating on getting stuff done and I know I'll be pissed later this week when I don't have free time to wrap presents when I'm WAH and DefConn is at school.  The pile in my room is out of control right now, so I need to get on it. 

SSDD otherwise.

I have.  Quality is good on everything but sizing can be everywhere
