Has anyone hired the wedding planner lauren MacQueen at Master Plan Events? I did about a year ago and now havent heard from her and my wedding is Saturday.  I read online that she has 20 complaints/lawsuits against her for taking brides money.  She advertises as a Knot vendor of the year for 2008.  Has anyone else had problems with her?

    I figured she was no longer in business.The bigger question is, have you tried contacting her throughout this time?  What services is she supposed to provide for you?

    I have been in communication with her. The last communication from her was back in February.  She told me she would send me a final invoice in July (since my wedding is the 25).  She was just supposed to do day of things, organizing vendors, timeline, picking up my dress, etc.  She was also supposed to help me design my reception site but I emailed her in February and told her that my florist is doing that.  She responded that she would adjust my final bill accordingly.  Havent heard from her since.  I filed a complaint with the BBB today.  Going to file a civil suit as well.

    She has a twitter that she has been updating.. http://twitter.com/laurenmacqueen i just looked at it and it seems as tho she has been in the hospital with her husband, but if she has time to tweet, then she should have time to call her clients back.

    wait she works at the alden and coordinates on the side? I doubt that she's allowed to do that. call the alden and talk to the manager

    I called the manager yesterday. She was unaware of any of this.  I dont know if it is the same Lauren MacQueen.  I plan on going and seeing if it is her.

    There are also multiple addresses listed for her.  I have the one she originally gave me and on the BBB they have her listed at a different address.  Looked up both of them and neither house is registered to her.

    Hello--I just read this, and yes we have had the exact same issue with her as well. This is the same Lauren MacQueen who works at the Alden, and I've spoken with several people who she has also stolen money from. Apparently there is a lawsuit pending with some of the brides that she has stolen from.

    she will no contact you.  she took my sisters money and my sister never heard from her again.  she is a con-artist.  she does this for a living.

    I sent her boss at the Alden the information I had on her, its been about two weeks now and she has not got back to me.  I was also contacted by the DA regarding Lauren.  There is a lawsuit against her.  I am adding my information to it.  She should not be able to get away with this.  I have also gone down to the Alden several times, she is never there when I go.
