Think it’s Spring Thursday

We had our windows open all day, and our bedroom window open all night last night! It’s finally feeling like it just maybe might be spring in Buffalo. 

Also- to toot my own horn a bit; some of my work is going to our CEO and our Board of Directors today! Not just a blurb like pages of analysis I’ve been doing. Really feeling myself today!

It's going to be in the 70s here today, but cloudy and rain. But I'll take the warmer temps for sure! 
Hoping today goes fast. Tomorrow we only have a half day and our work party starts at 6:30pm. Check in at the hotel is 3 so we'll be going early. It'll be nice tomorrow too so we can walk around the grounds and stuff before we have to get ready.

Posted on the wrong day because I get discombobulated easily when my week is unusual, lol.

I was out sick yesterday and caught up on some much needed sleep and decompression time.

Great spring weather temps, but is supposed to be thunderstorms for most of the weekend.  I'll probably make a big batch of egg salad for Easter.  But, other than that, we don't have any plans.

Today is my half day because tomorrow is a holiday.  I'm so aggravated, though.  I've been twiddling my thumbs for weeks.  But, oh. Today.  All of a sudden there is urgent work that needs to go out, smh.  Normally, I would be so excited to have something productive to do.  But, of course, when I just wanted to have a chill half day and jet out at 11am, now it's a 4-alarm fire.  I told the engineer it was unlikely to happen, unless I could get OT approved.  Haven't head back from him yet (shrug).  

Update: He said it can be finished on Monday.  Good.  Still a more hectic day today than I wanted, but at least I can leave on time and start my 3-day weekend!

Woohoo.  Our storms should be over with so I’ll get my car washed inside and out today. We get out at 3 today! And tomorrow is my long awaited tattoo.  I’m a bit nervous because she only scheduled 5 hours for it, prep and all! Unless she’s working after 10 pm when they close? I wanted a one and done for sure and not have to go back to finish it. Ugh.  Maybe she’ll ask me to come in 1 hour early? 

First wfh day while we remodel and I must say the extra 40 minutes of sleep really helps me with getting a full hour in for a workout.  I may like that part.  But I’m nervous for my bored eating.
Me; I’m working from home the entire month so I musn’t bring snacks into the house
Also me; let’s put in a nuts.com order for mostly snack mixes

It cooled off today, but it's going to bounce back quickly.  It will be in the 80's this time next week.  

I've been trying to write the post for over an hour, so that's how my day is going.  LOL

hectic days are the worst @short+sassy im glad you got a little R+R yesterday. 

Yesterday at work was horrific. I need to say something about the scheduling because it’s not okay. Add to it that my support staff is…less than to be desired and it was a cluster. Today will probably be a mess too. I’m going to talk to the person I share the week with because I heard she might have written to our manager already about the scheduling and it might be better if we’re approaching as a united front. 

Also my period started so I’m an annoyed crampy mess in general. 

Totally thought Easter was last Sunday. So when my mom reached out last night to maybe plan something I was surprised. But we should try to make it happen. Other than that SSDD.

Yay @charlotte989875 - it's always such a good feeling to have your work promoted/recognized by the ppl at the top!

G had his monthly blood draws today and based on pics from H it went well. They stopped for donuts afterward N wont let us cut his hair and it looked especially cute curling under his "rawr pat" today. (toddler translation: Dinosaur baseball hat)

H and I are going to a Cubs game memorial day weekend and asked my parents if they would babysit so we could stay the night downtown and they're excited to do it. This will be our first night kid free in over 2 years and i'm so fricking excited. It's a night game too so i'm sure we'll putz around the city all day too!

We decided to take the boys to their first concert this summer too! They LOVE Laurie Berkner (she's a kids artist and has tons of fun songs) and she's coming to the amphitheater near us in July. I'm excited for that too! If anyone wants very good but semi-annoying kids songs in their heads all day or haven't shown these to your kids and need something new, check out:

Just got in from a nice city day, the rain held off so we were able to walk the High Line before Dog Man the Musical.  It's almost 70 which is a bit warmer than I'm ready for but have no fear, the high will be in the 40s over the weekend, lol.

I'm at the dentist with Chiquita for a routine appointment and need to finish my week of work.  Tonight DH is taking me out to dinner at a nice place across the CT River while the kids sleep over at the ILs.  

We have a busy few days upcoming with Chiquita serving tomorrow, selling cookies Saturday and Sunday we head to my parents for Easter.
