Sure the official proposal was 'romantic'... haha... went like this: Josh says 'you ready to choose a date?', I say 'For what' he says, "to get married silly, it's about time we start planning.'  THE END    We'd known for a long time that we were getting married. And about when, so it really wasn't a big deal.7. We have joint account so we are buying both bands. But he makes more money so I guess he's paying more.8. I think budget is hard to judge. Because we had no idea what anything wedding related cost before we started planning. But for the sake of poll- we've doubled what we originally thought things would cost. But this new amount includes 3 days of events & 50 more people than originally planned. 9. Our biggest splurge is certainly our venue. We could have chosen something smaller (and cheaper)- but we wanted to keep our money & business in Katy for the most part.

We never looked at rings together, he picked the rock and proposed with a ring that just had the center stone, then afterwards, he took me back to show me the setting that he picked and get my approval, ha!3. I know FI spent a lot of $$ on my rock since it's nearly flawless and excellent grade or whatever.  I might have chosen something a little bigger with a lesser grade.  But I still love my ring!5. Like I said he had the ring for awhile and planned to propose on the beach during a Thanksgiving getaway, but the weather was bad and he didn't do it then.  He proposed on his birthday while we were in bed <wink>7. Yes, he insists that he doesn't want one, he currently wears a ring that has my nickname on it.  It's cheesey and I insist that he wear a regular band and I will have something sweet engraved on the inside.8. 1. we had been dating almost a year before we got engaged.2. we didn't look at rings together so i didn't have anything picked out. i just knew i wanted something vintage or antique, which is what i got.3. To make a very long story short - He got all of our friends together to celebrate new years at the place that we celebrated our first new years together when we were falling in love.  Everyone else knew.  When he gave a toast at midnight, he stopped talking, and I turned around and he was down on one knee with the ring box.  Very cute.  It was great to share it with friends, and we have lots of great pics since they were all there.7. I really didn't have a ring picked out, but I got the diamond cut that I wanted.  And his only requirement was that it be "sparkly".  It is probably the most "sparkly" solitaire I've ever seen, so he did good!!3. Yes and no.  I had a feeling that it was coming b/c he was bein secretive with his bank account, which he never is, and he and my mom and been talking funky on the phone4. While I bent down to tie my shoe he managed to fumble in his pocket and pull out a box.  As soon as I looked up, he was on one knee saying the sweetest thing I've ever heard...and then he said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me.  The whole time...I thought he was joking! haha.
