Wedding Woes

Fun Friday

Woohoo for the bonus Prudie.
Oldest DD is currently having playdate and it's with the nicest kid- they just met this year and I'm sorry I've taken so long to invite her over.  Always tricky balancing keeping her siblings out of her hair since they're so close in age (and since she always comes along and is nicely included on a standing playground playdate with their friends) and having them all play together.  So far so good.

Weekend is my favorite kind - not too much going on.  And the temperature is plummeting back into the 50s, thankfully.  Wishing everyone else a good weekend!

Re: Fun Friday

  • We have one more day of 80 tomorrow (ew) and then we're back in the 50s for most of next week (yay). Mom and dad are visiting this weekend, hoping we can get a few things done around the house while they're here.

I really need a nap but i'm busy at work this morning. Maybe i'll sneak in 20 minutes later this morning.
  • Woohoo for Friday!  Temps are a little cooler here today and will be about 80.  Then we plummet and get rain, sleet & possibly snow on Sunday.  Back to "normal" April weather next week with highs near 60.

  • Not much going on.  Just looking forward to the weekend.

Timesheet day at work.  I hate when timesheets fall on my half-day Friday, which is about half the time because if the 1st or 15th fall on the weekend, then they need to be turned in on Fri.  My work has a really onerous system and it takes about 30 minutes to fill them out.

One of my tenants has been MIA with both her rent and in contacting me.  We posted a 5 Day Pay or Quit last Friday, so today is her last day.  Technically she has through the weekend, since we can't file for an eviction hearing until Monday.  The MIA part for communication is unusual for her, so it's not a good sign.  But, we'll see.  I'll send her a text this afternoon if she still hasn't paid.

  • Apparently, there was some coordinated bomb threat situation today that impacted over 40 school districts in the state and they closed schools or went to e-learning.  Our district was not impacted, but my nephew's was and so is the one my younger sister works for.  It's bonkers it was found to be credible enough that homeland security recommended school closures.  So very WTF.

DH is WFH with me today and he's planning to WFH more often.  We'll have to see how that goes.  He never even worked from home during lockdown, so it will be interesting.  Ha.

DH's cousin is here this weekend with two of her doggos.  We're going out to dinner tonight, hiking tomorrow, and then having a cookout.  Looking forward to mostly beautiful weather today and tomorrow.  Sunday is a different story, but I'll likely be ready to burrow.

    Have a great weekend everyone!
  • @mrsconn23, that's horrible!  I hope it's a baseless threat.  But it still costs school districts tons of money to deal with and they already need every penny.  Not to mention inconveniencing hundreds of thousands of people.  I hope the perpetrators are caught and go to prison for a long time.

  • I don't have too much going on.  Tonight I think I'm going to just chill at home.  I'll have to come into work tomorrow for a bit.  Sunday I'll see my mother.

I'm planning a couple of excursions for May and June already, so that's nice to think about.
  • I've been yelled at 2x already regarding tax benefits because they come out now and it's only JUST 11am

Like ffs be nice to people you call folx

I have one more client coming in and at least I know how that will go. He will always start by ok, then mad then loves me. He's 92 and that's how EVERY conversation goes.

BK's denist appt went ok. Nothing at face value - no cavity, canker, etc - they couldn't see if it's adult tooth pushing based on gums.
If she's still talking about it they'll do xrays

edit: appt with client went well. Exactly as expected lol
