I'm dealing with a bit of car trouble but a mom friend is kindly bringing the kids home from art camp in a bit, I scheduled an uber to and from counseling this afternoon, and we can walk to the town pool for swim team this evening, though I'm hoping all is squared away before then.  
Yesterday the twins turned 8, whew, we are a big kid house.  Middle childhood is great though.  Wishing everyone a good day!

Ugh car trouble is the worst. 

I'm doing OK I guess. Still sad.  Can't remember if I posted this but my SIL had to also put her dog down less than a week after I did. So we're both just reeling. I have plans to see her this weekend. 

Other than that, mostly SSDD. The rain has been freaking nonstop. Thankfully a lot of roads opened back up this week so my commute has been a lot better.

I'm a frazzled mess. I'm leaving for India on Friday and am not at all ready. But to keep things fun, work has decided to blow up with 800 meetings that need to happen to prepare for this trip. So that's fun. 

Nothing much else going on. It's super hot out and it just makes everything un-fun. Even the dog is being lazy.

I'm fighting with a payday loan place who kept taking money after a client filed with us {they're not allowed}
I called last week and they said a supervisor would call in 2-3 days IT HAS BEEN A WEEK

So I basically called and apparently a supervisor will call me today - if nothing by 3, I'm calling again.
They even confirmed they've received the MULTIPLE emails I've sent.

Yes the client was suppose to change their account, and it took him 9 flippin months to tell us - but now it feels personal because Money Mart won't call me.


I'm so annoyed.

Hanging in there. H had M all ready to go yesterday and again today so that’s a win. I’ve got a few projects going to work but thankfully nothing too stressful so at least one area of my life feels under control. 

M and I went out for a run in the stroller this morning and he sang songs from Moana the entire time. He’s the cutest.

@ei34, happy birthday to the twins!  Sorry to hear about the car problems.  I hope it is something relatively cheap and easy to fix.

Good day at work.  I have a lot of work to do, but nothing that is urgent.  It's nice to keep my time occupied, but without any stress.

I'm feeling good that we have confirmed childcare for Chiquito the day of DH's cousin's wedding so now we can feel good that we are all set and the kids will be taken care of in town.  I'm at nag level with DH to respond to his cousins that we're all set and won't be using their sitters.  Still a bit salty but whatever - I just don't want to add to the trouble that already exists.

@CharmedPam my deepest sympathies for your loss!  I don't think I wrote that yesterday.

I'm now pushing Chiquita to do research on her own so she's prepared to look up food that will be good for her diet.  I get that this is going to be an adjustment and she's going to need to have some ownership in her diet rather than make me the bad guy for suggesting items that will be good for her.

I was up all night. I want my own bed, obviously, but we had terrible storms with cracks of thunder keeping us up all night.  Power went out, but just for a second.  I finally DID get back to sleep only to have both phones go off at 6:55 to tell me about the thunderstorms and flash flood warnings.  Cool.  Wouldn’t have known by the thunder crashing down and torrential downpour.  I did go back to sleep after that. The rain is finally over and my parents and I are heading out to a museum and antique shop.  If they can get their butts in gear.  We all eat at different times so it’s hard to maneuver meal times.  I’m a breakfast at 8 or 9, lunch at 12 or 1, dinner at 6 or 7 kinda person (with maybe a zillion snacks inbetween). They do brunch at 10:30 or 11 and dinner at 6 or 7.  So they’ll be ready to leave at noon for today’s outting and oh-oh, guess who’s feeding time it is now? This girl!

Such a great idea! If she isn’t already meeting with a dietician could help her think through what foods fit her dietary needs and sound appealing to her.

We may have to go that route.  At the moment I told her to start by researching directly through the Crohn's / UC website which can talk about the diet that's best for people with IBD.  I'm sympathetic to her because she's a picky eater at 12 so her palate hasn't developed yet so she's not loving a lot of fruit and veggie flavors just yet.  And a lot of the typical kid loving things are what she doesn't like.  It's going to make vacationing interesting.

@charlotte989875 my grandtwins love Moana and sing the songs constantly - so cute. I watched it for the first time on vacation with them. We had a rainy afternoon so it was perfect timing.

H and I got a lot of yardwork done this morning. We had been putting it off because of air quality. It felt good to get it done. Took pup to vet for bordatella   booster. H is doing some grocery shopping since we are having friends over for dinner this weekend.
