My cousin's wedding was a ball.  The kids had a blast - think DDs could've stayed all night (we left around 9).  DS thought the cocktail hour was the wedding and when I told him this morning that some couples have cocktail-style weddings he declared that's the best kind of wedding, lol.
Stbxh is allegedly seeing the kids this weekend, which would be nice.  I have some work to do, plus a living room project.  I ordered a new bookcase from wayfair that I'm excited about, but I have to get all the books off of the current one that's heading out the door.

Lol DS ain’t wrong @ei34, glad it was a good time for all.  I can’t say anything about a Thursday wedding, since I wanted a Nov 1st date which happened to fall on a Tuesday.  Lol.
Nothing new going on.  Seeing “Ring of Fire” on Saturday and a war reenactment on Sunday. Pretty chill but not as chill as last week, whereas nothing was done.

Why is it that short weeks feel the longest? I slept like crap last night too and I'm so tired. This day is dragging. 

Not much planned for the weekend. Going to look at a couch tonight. Was planning on going to a local corn festival Sunday, but it might rain.

This is the week of too much stuff in a short time.  

Chiquita has strep so our camping isn't happening.  I have so much to do for work I may carve out time Saturday to get it done.  Now that my weekend plans changed I may try to do some home organization.

I don't have any big plans.  Taking mom to get her flu shot tomorrow and put gas in her car.  Otherwise, I just really need to finish cleaning my apartment really well and relaxing.

I've had to go back to my dice method to make myself watch new TV shows/ movies.  So, I finally watched and finished Squid Game.  I'm glad i didn't watch it when it first came out, b/c I was definitely not in the head space for that.  I did really enjoy it overall though and I'm eager to see Season 2.  Also watched The Monkey King and that was a fun kids movie.

Ugh. I know I never sleep great, but there’s something cruel about only getting minimal sleep on a day off. We went to bed at 10:30 last night. I woke up at 1:30 and was just up and staring at the ceiling fan until 5. Luckily I got two hours in after that but come on. 

We decided to leave tomorrow. So today is a frenzy of last minute packing, organizing, shopping, and cleaning. I really want the house to look nice so when we come home it’s relaxing.

I am feeling much better today. Just some nagging back pain. My friend L is on her way and I’m taking her out to celebrate passing the NCLEX and officially being a nurse. Woot.

We have house shit to do and H’s cousin will be here tomorrow. Football and the US Open (go Coco!!) will be on all weekend.  The weather will be perfect. Woohoo.

It’s finally cool here and I’m so happy! Also woke up to a Chiefs loss so it’s a pretty Good Friday here. 

Our new furniture gets delivered tomorrow! I don’t think M even remembers what it’s like to have a TV in the house. The person who was supposed to stain/ paint the room can’t do it until October so I may have convinced H to just do it himself. I just want things done. I’m officially in the second half of pregnancy and the need to organize everything has hit hard!

I'm hoping for a quiet weekend. SIL and her fam were supposed to come up this weekend, but they pushed back to next weekend, so we're pretty open. We are doing a double date lunch tomorrow with one of my oldest friends and her new boyfriend. I'm really excited to meet him. 

Then I guess we're going to clean the house, b/c MIL found out that SIL is coming next weekend, and so she needs to be here too, but she won't just come for the weekend and will be showing up Tuesday. I think the reason I'm most looking forward to SIL moving back here is that MIL will go back to staying with her when she decides that a weekend means be here all week. 

Anyway, the weather is supposed to be nice, so I'll hopefully be outside most of the weekend.

I leave for my trip on Thursday!  We need to get our last finishing touches done.  Book some of our excursions.  Put our bid in for the room upgrade auction. 

Definitely get all/most of our packing done this weekend because Thursday will be busy.  Our flight isn't until the early evening, so I'm working most of the day and leaving early.  But I pretty much just want to get home, call for an Uber, and head out.

I got a new dress recently from Amazon.  Love it!  Nice enough to wear to work, but is more like a thick t-shirt material so it's still comfy and casual enough to wear around town.  I took my measurements before ordering it and have lost 2" each on my hips/waist/chest.  Woo-hoo!
