Wedding Woes

Tuesday

I like my hair today but i'm still crampy - so overall neutral. It's raining and cool again and I love it - not excited at all for 80 degree temps for the rest of the week. What's up with everybody else?

Re: Tuesday

  • Loving this much cooler weather. Though starting this weekend, it's showing 11 days straight of rain, including on my birthday. I really hope that ends up not being the case. I'm so sick of the rain.
Also I woke up today and thought it was the weekend. Whomp whomp.
  • I’m back at work today =( I have an IT issue I’m working out at a different location and I had called before my trip to set up the appointment to fix it. They told me “no problem, come by after your trip no worries and someone will help you.” Predictably no one knew what I was coming in for today. But it’s fixed now. I am not ready for work.

Otherwise still trying to get our camping stuff organized and clean. I’m pretty sure I have a torn meniscus. We did the 20 mile hike and two days later I did a 15 mile hike and then I couldn’t straighten out my knee any more. I think the meniscus tore and flipped under my patella because yesterday I felt a flip and a clunk under my patella and then I could walk again (better at least, but not my normal self). I knew my injury from April probably needed an MRI and it’s confirmed now. I really wish I could just order my own study. Except what’s probably going on will need surgery so ugh. I knew a meniscus tear was very likely with the MCL injury I had but I just hadn’t done enough mileage and weight to show it. Boo.

Otherwise SSDD. Getting antsy for fall weather. It’s down to the 80s and low 90s but it’s not enough. Give me cooler days already.

They say 80’s within the next few days too but it’s REALLY hard to imagine?
my friend has a torn meniscus too @levioosa. I know you’re in the medical field and dont need advise lol, but she opted out of surgery for now and is doing PT, exercises, cupping and vibration plate. I think she mentioned something about an inversion table or something like that but I don’t know how that works?

I bought tickets to Kevin James a looooong time ago hoping my parents could come in for it, but they’re out of town.  I have a friend taking 1 but I have 2 extra. I never sold tickets before.  How difficult is it?

  • @climbingsingle we are there with you that heading into the weekend I see a 58% chance of rain Sat and Sun and both days the kids have soccer games.

Starting off some busy days.  Chiquita was cast in the school play so she's got rehearsal now after school, kids have soccer and religious classes started this week.  It's...a lot.    My brother and his FI gave us a GC to Hello Fresh for Christmas and I'm thinking this is the season to get something.

I need DH to call the health insurance co.  Next mo when Chiquita has her next infusion they want to do a blood test to measure the level of the infusion in her blood and I'm told that of course THAT test is expensive so we'll want to make sure it's covered or understand any out of pocket cost.

Otherwise, I'm going to love that it's fall.
  • Have my kids’ meet the teacher night tonight, plus counseling and softball. At least work hasn’t been too stressful.
@levioosa your vacay pics were incredible! I’m sorry that it wasn’t as restful as you hoped
  • @CharmedPam, It's really not difficult to sell tickets. We have season tickets to soccer and I sell the ones we can't make pretty easily. If you bought them through ticketmaster, just open the ticket and click on sell and it will take you through the steps. The only catch is that TM takes a huge cut. You can also try selling via FB marketplace and not paying fees, but then you have to be careful with scammers who won't pay you or want you to transfer the tickets before they will.

It's freaking lovely here right now. It's 75 and sunny with no humidity, and looks like it's going to stay this way all week. I'm living for the outdoors right now. We have a kayaking trip planned this weekend and I'm beyond excited.
  • It's going to be in the 80's the rest of the week here.  We turned our air back on because I won't do a hot house.

I don't talk about it a lot, but my sister has been fostering my nephew for almost 5 years now and it's been a shitshow of a court case because our state SUCKS.  She just got dealt another blow today and I'm ready to go down to the statehouse with a pitchfork or something.  In reality, I'm hoping my friend who has some GAL experience and works for a lawyer has some names she can give me.  I think they should go talk to a lawyer and see if there are any rights they have or at least legal intervention on their behalf since 5 years of having your life disrupted by the state's errors and your kid having zero permanence is bullshit.  Foster nephew's mom doesn't know who his dad is and she's made the bare minimum of improvement/changes in the years he's been with sis and BIL.

In better news, my friend L is getting offers for interviews all over the place now that she has her nursing license.  She was so stressed about getting through school and passing the test. I'm so happy to see all that work paying off for her.

SSDD.  Work, blerg.  It's Tuesday. Blergggg...
