I was yawning in the elevator this morning and lamenting the fact that it should be farther in the week than Tuesday - a friendly coworker cheerfully reminded me it's actually Wednesday. So yay!

H and I haven't had a big talk yet but I did let him know that his approach to the situation felt really dismissive of my feelings/input. He apologized and agreed to sit down and talk through all the options before making any decisions. Thanks to you all for listening and offering advice - you're all awesome. 

H has a colonoscopy tomorrow so one of my IL's is going to come over for a bit and help me with bedtime. I hate that it's so hard to do alone - hopefully we'll get it figured out soon but honestly is low on my to-do list atm. 

It's my dad's bday today and my sis and I are getting him a video monitor bird feeder. He has game cameras set up around the property (they live on a farm) that he loves and we thought he'd dig getting bird/animal videos all the time, especially since he'll be laid up for a few weeks after his hip replacement later this month.

@ei34 Yay!  It's such a weird feeling, isn't it?  I'm happy for you though, this chapter is closed and you can start moving forward into the new one.

I don't feel good today.  I almost called in, but it's just a general yuckiness, nothing else.  However, bossman IS sick and not in the office, so I think I'll go home at lunch and work from hoem for the rest of the day.

No other big news, really.  Just working and existing right now.

Glad to hear it @ei34. I never want to say “congrats on that divorce” because who really wants it? But I’m glad you’re out in your circumstances! 

I have 2 friends going through nasty ones (well one may be uncontested which goes to her favor) and I can’t wait to give them these (in shirts I saw)

I’m in a predicament. I’m going to a charity event tomorrow called “witches night out” and your encouraged to dress up witchy.
dress A - and actual halloween costume from Torrid, a bit more modest, a tad large on me but I like the front of it.  It’s a plain black velvet aside from the mesh.
dress B - an actual gown from amazon with witchy vibes, the fit is great (with spanx), it’s a nice lacey material hard to see in the pic and it shows off my tattoo. Why get the tat if I’m not showing it off at every opportunity I get? Plus as a real dress, it could be worn for other things besides halloween events.  Btw that slit is NOT that high up IRL. It’s well below the knee.

Both are $60! I think I may keep both anyway - but which one do I wear tomorrow?

@charmedpam I like #2 a little better but honestly wouldn't bat an eye at #1 for a non-halloween/withc event. I don't think it looks too costume-y!

@Casadena, I'm glad your H apologized and is receptive to talking about what he is going to do with his job.  That sounds like a great gift for your dad!  Especially considering his upcoming surgery.

I am officially declaring it Ei34 Day!  Congrats!  I know it has been a long time coming.

I opened my e-mail this morning and it looked like I had 3 rebar packages to complete, which is a big chunk of work.  But no!  The first e-mail was issuing it.  The second e-mail was recalling that e-mail.  The third e-mail was the update that issued the package.  So in a happy surprise it was only one package.  I love recalled e-mails when they aren't mine, lol.

Not much else going on, other than it's my second WFH day for the week. Which makes it a great day!

@CharmedPam I guess it depends on what comfort level you're wanting for the event.  I'm in a "stop touching me" phase, so I prefer #1, but I like them both.

I'm not feeling well today. I think I might have food poisoning from dinner last night (leftovers at our house) but I'm not sure. I was up in the middle of the night so have been lazy today. We have tickets to a play tonight. I doubt I go (I've seen it already with girlfriends) but am encouraging H to go since he hasn't seen it. Our next play isn't until January. H is at lunch with friends - a guy he worked with is in town so a group of them (all retired) are together to talk old work stuff I guess.

I'm just sitting here snuggling with the pup.

Busy work day. I’ve had 4 in person meetings already today and I’m exhausted! I mean they’re definitely preferable to Webex all day but I’m so tired already!

@CharmdPam, #1 has a more "witch" vibe to it.  I don't think #2 does.  At least not on it's own.  But adding some witch accessories would work.  #2 does seem like it would be more versatile to wear again.  They are both really cute!

I’m over today but it’s SSDD really. I desperately want to skip the gym tonight but I know I need to go. I am sleepy today. I make poor life choices and started laundry late last night which meant I had to stay up to switch it around.

Glad to hear H is receptive to a discussion before making a decision @casadena.  

Today was a fun day.  I was invited as a leader to the annual anniversary celebration since two people on my team had milestone years.  The venue was lovely.   I had fun seeing my people and so many others I hadn't seen in a while. I appreciate that they invited leaders so we could be with our people as they were honored.
