In Memory Table Advice

Hi All,

I lost my mom, grandma, and sister all pretty recently. I want to honor them with a memory table at the wedding. I have a really beautiful photo of the four of us (actually several). But is it weird to have a picture of myself with them up there? Like am I going to jinx myself by being on a memory table? Haha.

Initially I was planning on doing one photo of each of them but after going through photos I have so many great ones of the four of us from the time I was born until their passings... and I'm wondering if it might be cuter to do me with them throughout the years...

This is something that's really important to me so I'd love any advice or feedback on what others think would look best.

Thanks!

Re: In Memory Table Advice

  • I suggest having, instead of a "memory table," a table of photographs of both deceased and living loved ones. It is less likely than a "memory table" to evoke tears, grief and loss, which would not be "cute" at a wedding.

You could add subtle reminders of them all throughout your wedding.  Incorporate a favorite flower, color, food or song into your wedding.  Wear something meaningful from one or more of them.  You could even wrap a locket around your bouquet that carries a picture of them.

If you are having a religious ceremony, you could offer an intention of those not physically present on this day, but that are in your hearts.
