Leaving off the “tired” in the title, it’s the first week of no 7pm fall softball so after work it’s just counseling for all and tae kwon do for DS.  I’ll take it woo. 

Work is a dumpster fire but in a sort of expected way.

I’m currently making salsa chicken in my new crockpot.  The one I got for Christmas and never used yet.  It’s chicken, spices, and salsa of your choice.  Tonight I’ll put it over tater tots and top with cheese! Yum. 

Also, I’m not sure WHAT states will be involved but apparently Oct 30th Walgreens pharmacists will do a (nationwide?) walkout to take a stance on poor working conditions. They want to involve CVS too. I know the pharmacies in my area are super understaffed so I feel for them!
And oh happy day! The psychic that I have gone to a few times was doing a raffle for a $15 entry.  1st place, free reading.  2nd place 25% off a reading and 3rd place 10% off a reading. She’s VERY good but also very expensive ($145/for half an hour). When she first started, it wasn’t that much. I’m sure I’ve talked about her here before.

This morning I found out I won 1st prize! This was me today;

Work is so slow right now and I hate it. I should have worked from home yesterday so i at least could have gotten some things done around the house. Hopefully it picks up. 

I neeeed to get in better shape and it's really annoying trying to find a time that works consistently to work out. I may have to suck it up and become a 5am workout-er. All my clothes fit and i haven't really gained weight the last couple years, but my proportions are much different than they used to be and i just don't feel good in anything.

@CharmedPam, congrats on winning the drawing!  I had not heard about the Walgreens pharmacy one-day strike.  I wonder what they're upset about.  I had an extremely bad experience with a local Walgreens pharmacy about 15 years ago.  I went scorched earth and still hold a grudge.

Pretty good day.  I'm super busy at work, but at least making progress.  We are currently rebuilding our deck, which is H's arena.  But yesterday, he also fit in putting the first coat on the desk I bought at a garage sale this weekend.  It's looking so cute!  I need a bright perky color for my WFH desk to help keep me happy and in a positive mood.  Not the drab and ugly army green original color.

I have some scones in the oven. DD should be here within the next hour or so.

My day of cleaning really caught up to me last night. I think every muscle and joint in my body ached. I stretched this morning after working out and feel somewhat better. Getting old isn't for sissies!

Im exhausted. I slept better last night but still really tired. I feel like this will be the case forever, lol.

Finally feeling like I'm making progress in getting caught up on things from vacation and being sick.  Still have covid fatigue but slowly getting more energy.

We had a good Dr. visit for DH this morning and have a good balance of meds right now.  Insurance approved his mobility scooter and we pick it up tonight.  It easily disassembles and fits in the hatch of our small SUV.

We have tickets for a comedy show Saturday and will use the scooter to get from parking ramp to our floor seats.

Otherwise SSDD.

It's an oddly quiet week for me.  My boss is on vacation.  I'm on vacation next week.  So I'm trying not to get into anything and I'm also trying to keep things 'tidy' for her to come back to next week since she'll be supporting my team while I'm out.  

I'm heading out very soon to make a store run for dad.  I need to find a mask since I'm not trying to bring Covid to my grandpa.  I don't plan on hanging out at his place, but still want to take precautions. 

SSDD otherwise.  Trying to figure out a schedule to interview people for my open position when I get back.  I need to do a first round since I've had a really good response.

Weird thing happened at work.  One of my coworkers went to his cube and discovered someone had taken his desk!  It was so bizarre.  HIs monitors were on the floor.  He was also a bit upset because his ear buds were in the desk.  The Facilities Manager found it.  Someone had put it in storage?  Why?  Still so puzzling.  But his ear buds were still in it, so at least those got returned.

In local news.  The New Orleans DA got car-jacked at gun point last night!  I normally wouldn't find it hilarious and delightful that someone was the victim of a violent crime.  But part of the reason crime is so high in this city is because his worthless office.is extremely soft on crime.  Including being notorious for letting car jackers plead to community service bs and never spending a day in prison.

It's just nice to finally see someone who is usually up in their ivory tower have to face the harsh reality of their policies that usually only us "riff raff" suffer for.  Karma's a bitch.

There is also a lot of angst right now as to how quickly the police arrived and that they also found his car within a few hours from his GPS tracker.  The police don't do either one of those things for us mere mortals.

That is some shit right out of Office Space when they kept moving Milton until he ended up in the basement.

But seriously, that's messed up and I'd be asking a lot of questions about how the hell it happened.  And monitors on the floor?  That's so rude.  The person who took his desk should have had some questions themselves.

This may surprise you, but I have a ghost in a bottle on my desk.  You know someone works there!!!!

He has zero personal effects on his desk or in his cube.  So I'm assuming whomever moved it to storage didn't realize it belonged to anyone.

But still.  Even if they thought it was an empty cube, why take the desk out just to put it storage?

I'm exhausted.  My teammate and I just went to the new offices and labeled every single piece of furniture with "stay" or the office number it's moving to.  Then came back and made a spreadsheet for the movers showing the same.  This move can't come soon enough.

Otherwise, SSDD.  Just trying to stay up on my regular work when I just put in 5.5 hours of the day doing the move work.  I'm ready to go home and crash.
