Hi all-
So I just got engaged last month and I'm trying to figure out what wedding band or enhancer I want to pair with my ring for the wedding and beyond. I'll be completely honest, it is not the ring I was really hoping for (his mother picked it out and she barely knows me) but I figure we work with it because I don't want to start our marriage off on the wrong foot. He means too much to me and I'm determined to give the piece a little oomph with the band or enhancer and be happy with it.
I don't know much about rings at all though, and this is really not your typical solitaire because the band has a twist to it and the setting is a diagonal "diamond" shape (which let me tell you, makes keyword searches absolutely exhausting). As the pic shows it's a rather small ring with an illusion setting that lays almost flat to my finger so I think an enhancer would really fill it out and give it proportion. The shape is so weird though, and I have no idea what shape of enhancer would look nice and organic with it.
So, here I am, asking for a little guidance. I'm open to any and all suggestions but here are a few suggestions about my personal tastes:
1) I like color! Especially sapphires, they're my birthstone.
2) I like vintage and glam.
3) Open to metal mixing, just don't know what works (the current band is 10k yellow gold)
4) I do not mind an enhancer that "overpowers" the engagement ring, so long as it looks like they belong together.
TIA for any and all help, I truly appreciate it ♥
