Removable Straps

Hello! I have always dreamed of having a strapless or off the shoulder wedding dress, but we are having our ceremony in a Catholic church that requires straps (off the shoulder not included). I've looked at tons of boleros online but can't seem to find any that really fit what I'm looking for. It feels like the perfect solution would be some form of removable strap that I could have on for the ceremony and remove afterward, but I haven't found any options for that while searching websites - anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? Thank you so much!

I'd confirm what the church is looking for.  Are they needing a thin spaghetti strap just so the dress itself stays up?  Do they need something that is thicker?  

If the parish is OK with a spaghetti strap then I would just go shopping at a bridal store that has decent consultants.  Advise them that you're liking strapless and that you are interested in adding straps that can be removable. What you're wanting is likely something that can be added by a decent seamstress by adding straps with hooks at the ends that go into the eye ends that can be invisibly sewn into the dress.  Get the dress tailored to fit and the straps go on for the ceremony and then get taken off once you're outside of the church.  

Other options I've seen that pass are shawls rather than boleros.

you could get rhinestone bra straps at danceshopper.com for example. You would have to make sure that those would be acceptable though. These would have to hook to your dress with loops like a bra.
