Thought N was feeling better and made it to our fire station visit on Saturday morning. He fell asleep immediately after and has been having tummy issues ever since. He's home again with me today, we're going to the Dr. later to check for clu/covid. G is home as a precaution - trying not to get sick so he can have his surgery on Thursday. My mom is here to hang with G so we can keep them apart.

Trying to squeeze some work things into today so i dont' have to take a full day off. Very much looking forward to getting through next week - hopefully we'll be through all the sickness and have a break. At least we'll be done with rushing to the ER for every fever once G's port is out!

Any good thoughts/vibes/prayers to get through this smoothly appreciated!

Sending the healing vibes your family's way @Casadena

Had the nicest weekend - so fun meeting Bluey and Bingo Saturday morning, the softball games were cold but not freezing.  Had a nice visit with FIL yesterday (though the kids definitely notice the difference in their relationship with him vs my parents who are basically second parents) and yesterday afternoon into evening was glorious.  64 degrees, sunny, breezy...just one of those quintessential backyard days where lunch and dinner were al fresco, they had to change clothes 3x, needed multiple showers, so nice.
  • Busy busy weekend for me, which ended up with me on the side of the road, stalled, coming home from my P’s.  My car started up again and i made it home, but I’ve been quoted $1,000 if it’s the fuel pump like I think it is. Ugh.

It was a great weekend weather wise, so that helped. Especially when I was stranded on the hiway for 1 hour.  Even after all that, and my car was returned safe at home, I still took an uber to a acrobatic show and comedy show.  Hey, nothing I could do anyway?

Vibes sent your way @Casadena, hope you all get over what you have soon and can enjoy our fake summer we’re getting!

  • @Casadena, hoping everyone heals quickly at your house and surgery can go as planned on Thursday.

We had a really nice weekend.  The weather was gorgeous - 80 on Saturday & 75 yesterday.   DH had some very good days.  We went to a comedy show Friday night (John Crist - excellent!), stayed home on Saturday but a co-worker stopped by to drop off some cat stuff they no longer use.  Sunday we did church, breakfast out and some errands.  Then home to rest for a bit before going to a birthday dinner for our adult niece.  DH was really tired by the end of all that activity but did well and his mood stayed good.

We had a pair of mallards visit the yard yesterday morning.  They've come through every spring and then are gone.  They came back in the afternoon and we here again this morning.  It would be fun (but messy) to have a nest and ducklings!

Not much extra this week.  It'll be busy at work for me as we are doing some 2nd interviews for a new position we have on top of the regular things.  I need to get outside tonight and do some patio clean-up before the storms come in tomorrow night.  I bought a collapsible rain barrel and want to put that together to gauge the size and what we need to do to the downspout to get it to work.

  • We found some great hiking equipment on Amazon for our trip last year.   I'm super jealous of your Peru hiking vacation.

We went to a house with BIL on Saturday.  It's a no-go because of the amount of work it needs.  DH went to help FIL with a house project in the afternoon.  Yesterday, DH helped FIL finish the project and then we had a fairly chill afternoon.

I'm tired today because stomach issues were keeping me up last night.  Also, we had our windows open, but it was a little warm.  We turned on our air since it's going to be just as warm today.

    SSDD otherwise.
  • Busy weekend that went fast.

Saturday Chiquita and I did GS stuff for the afternoon and the place was 5 minutes from my parents' so we went there for dinner.  By the time we got home it was bedtime for the kiddos.

Sunday was mass and then family cleaning time or Chiquita project time.  She has a science project and GS Silver award to present this week so she has a full plate with her infusion tomorrow.  With her ADHD in full effect it's great to see when she's focused.

I did mop my floors which were SO GROSS.  I hate when I run a wet paper towel over what I think is clean to see that...I just didn't do enough.  I'm motivated to get the place looking better but we have so much clutter that it's hard to purge.
  • Weekend was great. It was birthday celebration from Friday until yesterday. GS3 loved his teenage mutant ninja turtle cake and all the stuff he got. The weather was gorgeous. We ate lunch outside and dinner yesterday. The pup has been exhausted from running around with the kids all weekend.

Luckily our drive home today was uneventful. I have lots of weeding to do in our flower beds but my hip/leg isn't allowing very much of it. I have an appointment with a chiropractor next Monday. I hope he can help me before we leave for Portugal next month.
  • Weekend was good, but busy! Saw Mama Mia Friday night and it was incredible. Then J and I watched the movie Saturday night while H went out.
  • Good healthy vibes your way @Casadena

The Inca trail sounds amazing @MyNameIsNot

Weekend was okay. Saw SIL A for the first time and it went okay. Pretty much what I expected. Nothing super crazy happened except for a moment when I mentioned the disparity of women in STEM fields and BIL said it was because women lacked the intelligence and suitability for those fields. I nearly lost it but I kept it together. Other than that things went well.

I have all of the appointments today. Therapy, hair, laser hair removal. What a way to start the week. I slept terribly last night so I hope tonight I can get some sleep.

Good luck! Is this your first one? I want a review from where you go lol. I had a session on Wed last week and it hurt SO much. And when I say I tolerate pain well, I tolerate it very well. I’m so glad I’m in the touch up phases of things because my golly, why did milan change out the lasers from not hurty to hurty?  This is the Brazilian area though.  I have an underarm session this Wed.
The results are 100% worth it though.

This was my second one and it did hurt a little more than the first one. I did have her go over one area in depth because for some reason it got obviously missed the first round. I would say I had 50% hair reduction just off of the first session in the areas the laser was applied so I’m hoping those results keep up. If this goes well I’m for sure investing in full legs and armpits. The bummer is that touch ups aren’t included in the place I went (med spa).

50% is amazing though!  I did laser hair removal years ago when technology wasn’t “there” and got no results so I know for sure we’ve advanced

Yeah it got my hopes up for sure. I hope the results keep being outstanding. As a Spanish Italian girlie this could be life changing lol.
