Wedding Woes

Hump Day Happiness

Where is everyone?
My mind is swirling around about car ideas.  The mechanic couldn’t fix my car, suggested going to the dealer.  But I was always toying with getting a new car anyway, just next year.  Maybe this is my sign.
Gloomy day.  Just trying to push through.

Re: Hump Day Happiness

  • My son doesn't eat pizza!  He also loves milk chocolate and loves peanut butter but if the two touch it's utter filth.  A PB cup is a nightmare situation for him.

I have promises of good pizza for Chiquita when we go for a summer infusion which may be both in the morning and shorter.
  • Good luck with the car decision! @CharmedPam. @Casadena I hope all goes well with the port removal. Yay for a light at the end of the tunnel.

I did a lot of weeding of flower beds this morning. I'm afraid my body is going to register its displeasure by tomorrow - already feeling some of it. However, I had a stretch session this afternoon which seems to have helped at least temporarily. Tonight I'm going to see Little Shop of Horrors with some girlfriends. I've never seen it. The local rep. theater is doing it and they always do an awesome job with sets.

Pup will be in his crate for longer than usual while I am gone. He'll just have to get over it.

I’m sorry but I simply cannot abide any PB Cup slander.

Work today is an utter mess. Everyone is mad, I’m burnt out, and people keep double and triple booking me. I’m losing it. And this is terrible timing to bitch at admin because I am trying to pick up extra days since we need the income. Ugh.

    Yay for port removal!

  • I feel little kids usually go through a “no pizza” thing but it becomes popular as a pre-teen because everyone’s eating it.
If it’s the same Little Shop that was at paramount in the fall, @ILoveBeachMusic, it was excellent!

No need to apologize.  I think he's broken and I get to eat the treats he refuses to consume.
  • Good luck today @casadena! I hope it’s smooth and boring and easy!
  • @CharmedPam, I'm sorry your mechanic couldn't fix your car!  I need a new car also to replace my MINI Cooper.  But I'm waiting until I move to OH for that.  Because 1) NOLA drivers are the worst I have ever seen and 2) NOLA has one of the highest sales tax rates in the country.  9.5% vs. 7.8% in Cincy.  6% if I move to a northern KY suburb instead.

    @Casadena, yay G!

@banana468, For another funny food and kid story.  My mom made mac' n cheese for my niece when she was about 4.  My mom mixed in ground beef.  My niece made a face and said, "GRANDMA!  We don't eat dirty food here."  My mom explained it wasn't dirt, it was ground beef...which she also liked.  But my niece was so put off by how it looked that she wouldn't even take a bite, lol.

Apparently I started my Wednesday post and never finished it, lol.

THIS gal has never had a "no pizza" phase.  But I didn't really like fast food hamburgers.  I didn't hate them, I could eat them.  But they were "meh".  I did love French fries, though.  My parents would bargain with me, "No more fries until you eat two bites of hamburger."  When McDonalds came out with chicken nuggets, I was so happy.

That's how old I am.  I remember when McD didn't have chicken nuggets, lol.  And Carl's Jr. still sold hot dogs, for those of you on the West coast and familiar with this chain.

I also hated sodas because I didn't like the carbonation.

The soda thing started changing in jr. high.  I started liking fast food hamburgers better in high school. But I still order something else half the time if I'm getting fast food and almost never order hamburgers in restaurants.  For a restaurant, they have to have some extra interesting toppings for me to even consider it.
