would this go together?

My wedding colors are robins egg blue and ink blue (maid of honor's dress has a white top with ink blue skirt and robins egg blue for everyone else) Our wedding will be listed as business casual on the invites, we are having a  morning wedding with brunch following. I had envisioned the groom to wear charcoal slacks and vest and a navy sportcoat and necktie with a robin's egg boutonniere but now i am questioning if that will look ok with the color scheme. My dress is slightly grayish white. WDYT?

So, you shouldn't have business casual or any attire on your wedding invitations unless you're in a location that has a defined dress code like a country club that has a required attire to let people in OR if your wedding is black tie.   If your invitations haven't printed yet please take it off.

I think what you envision is fine but what about going with your FI to look at the attire to see if you think what you want looks the way you want it?  IMO with the two sets of colors I'd rather see him in a suit that is navy or charcoal and the vest a different color but so much of that is personal taste.
  • I agree - take the attire portion off the invitations it isn't appropriate. I think what you you have in mind could look fine but personally prefer a suit also.
