Wedding Invitations & Paper

BLACK RSVPs

I was assembling my wedding invitations tonight and it dawned on me that the RSVP cards are black. When I designed them I didn’t even think about how people would write on them. Any suggestions? Should I purchase gel pens and include one with each invitation? Or should I order a whole new set of cards?

Order a new set.  It'll be just as expensive to buy pens and pay the extra postage and people shouldn't be expected to find a new pen to fill in.

Ordering a new set is easiest. You could design your own and send to a store like Staples to print on card stock and then cut them up individually, but that seems potentially just as expensive and definitely much more of a time expense than just ordering the RSVP cards.

How formal are they?  In what format do guests respond?  Is it possible to add a pretty sticker embellishment and have guests respond on that?
