Good morning!!  How's it going? 

Happy Juneteenth, the true freedom day. 

SSDD for the most part.  My 'rule follower' is making me batty because I have her on a project that's a little bit of 'let throw things at the wall and see what works'.  So there are questions and her questions have questions.  Thankfully today is my last day of real work this week as I have an offsite event tomorrow that will dominate most of my day and we're closed on Friday in observance of Juneteenth.  

DefConn is pushing all the limits this summer.  He's become the 'little buddy' of his cousins (girls, 19 and 20), especially the younger one, and he's thinking it's the summer of YOLO.   He's gonna be so mad when he finds out that we know about his latest 'plot' and it's going to be foiled.  LOL Nothing bad, just teenage 'grown little man' stuff.  I'm like, "Um who makes the rules?  Pretty sure it's not your cousins." 

After a couple week break, I think we're going to look at a house with BIL/SIL tonight.  

I'm going to post Prudie that's available today since I'm gone most of tomorrow.  Enjoy and stay cool if you're in the 'heat dome'.

Stay cool all.  We’re in a heat wave, but in a hot for us but nothing compared to some parts of the country way. 

Lol at Defconn. He’s at that “im so mature” age. Being close with older teens probably makes him feel even cooler 😉

Schools are closed in observance of Juneteenth.  One of the kids had an end of year Scouts event at a bounce/ropes course place, so here we are.  I imagine it’ll be town pool and grilling chicken on the grill for dinner after that.

I was sweating already after dropping the kids off at school. It's humid and miserable here. 

Nate bday party is this weekend. Just some family for brunch but i still need to decide what to make. Probably an egg bake of some kind and pancakes/french toast sticks, fruit...idk. I'm very uninspired re: cooking lately. 

We are having a big party for G in July to celebrate the end of treatment and i'm starting to stress about it. We have no rain plan other than "hope it doesn't rain bc idk how 75 people will fit in our house". I'm getting a tent/table/chairs, bounce house for kiddos, ordering BBQ and will have tons of coolers for drinks and popsicles. Hopefully not missing anything? H just has such a massive family and it's hard to invite in circles when each circle will add like 30 people to the list, lol.

It’s so hot and humid here it’s terrible. M and I are off, H worked the morning and is taking the afternoon off. I’m not sure why. His mom was here with J and we had it covered? Whatever not going to stress about it. 

I took M to the splash pad when it opened and there were like 5 other families there too. By the time we left an hour later it was packed. We’re going to target this afternoon so he can pick out sheets for his “big kid bed”. We’re making the switch tomorrow. Wish us luck.

Yay for parties @Casadena!  Move the cars out of the garage and set up tables and chairs.  Not sure what to do with the bounce house in the rain though.

Our deck project starts today.  Thankfully, we had a front move through last night and it's in the upper 60s and not humid.  I moved plants and such this morning so the area is all clear.  My brother is doing the work.  I want to go to a woodfire pizza and music thing tonight but we'll see if my friend wants to go as DH doesn't.  Otherwise I'll run some errands.

Even though we have a/c at home, it's still so warm. So last night was a cereal for dinner night lol

Tonight BK has judo, and I'm hoping the church has a/c - otherwise it's gonna be so rough!

Tomorrow and Friday I'm off - originally for a family fun day for BK in afternoon at school but rebooked for next week - I'm getting my nails done and I'm really excited. I don't often get them done so we'll see how it goes. The place is really good for designs so I'm trying to find something I'll like lol

Depending on weather, might surprise BK with splash pad visit after school. I'd just take her out back to her water table, but M has to cut our yard.

Work today. Zero motivation to work out tonight but I've got to do something. We're down to the wire for fitness prior to the cruise. And cruises are not known for being kind to the waistline. I've started to slowly kind of pack and tonight if I can I'd like to start getting some outfits together. That's more fun than cleaning, anyhow.
