Super casual wfh day.  I saw Simone’s floor routine yesterday from Sunday and giiiiiiiirl. I love watching her.  I hope team USA does well this year. I haven’t really heard anything from our aqua team but I remember watching the trials while I was in Seattle so I would assume we know who they are now?

Facial tonight and packing/getting ready for Thursday’s trip.

It's my birthday today. I'm sure we're doing nothing special, lol. But I'm 37! I think i'm taking the rest of the week off because i'm just over work. And i'd like to have a little time to apply for other jobs. Very tired today. It's gloomy and rainy but still cooler, not excited for the heat to return the rest of the week.

Getting caught up with all the posts; work & home have been pretty busy. J got shots Friday and was feeling it all day Saturday too so there’s been a lot of snuggles. I’m WFH today and tomorrow then off the rest of the week! 

It’s cooler here but we’re in for warmer weather again. I’m starting marathon training so I better get used to it quick!

Happy birthday, @Casadena!!

I am employed!  Started yesterday, fully remote legal assistant.  Still in my salary range, less responsibility, and WFH?  Yes, please.  It's for an insurance company and while I have feels about corporation, having an organized onboarding process has been so lovely.  WFH is kinda odd though.  Last night I was indulging in my favorite "turn my brain off" method and thought, I have to work tomorrow, I can't stay up late.  But I didn't even feel like I'd worked that day!  I'm hoping that feeling starts to change when I actually start working, I'm in training mostly right now.

Honestly, there hasn't been too much going on in my life.  I finally convinced a buddy to get a movie pass with me and we have become super users, basically.  Going to see Thelma tonight.  Doing well with my health journey.  Still happily single and celibate.  F1 season is turning out to be quite good, but I'd really love to see a Hamilton win this year.  Trying to numb myself to the state of the country.  I'll be re-reading Frederick Douglass's essay, "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July" with even more weary eyes this Fourth of July.

I'm just marking time today.  There is an organizational realignment going on and one of my direct reports was impacted by it.  It just sucks.  I'm trying to find the wherewithal to work on stuff. 

I may go sit on the deck for lunch since it's a gorgeous day.  

Blah.  That's all I've got.

Nothing going on here today. Weather is warming up but is still cool for now. It will be hot again this afternoon so I'm enjoying having the windows opened while I can!

Ran some errands yesterday evening. Noticed the back to school section being put up at target and the fall line partially out at Bath & Body Works. I love crisp fall weather as much as anybody but summer vacation started less than a week ago…can we wait a minute?! Lol

Happy Birthday @Casadena!

Today is my only day in the office!  I WFH tomorrow and then have Thurs. and Fri. off.  My only plans are sleeping in, lol.  Though I do need to use the extra time to organize and pack for our "someday" move.

One of our tenants is moving out on Saturday, so we'll need to get over there and do a deep clean.  We've had a few showings.  But I can't get my rental ad to post on FB Marketplace, which is where the majority of the renters are.  This usually happens and I have no idea why.  It's really aggravating and I need to get it figured out.

BUT I'm not going to let that ruin my weekend.  I am very overdue for some rest and relaxation!

The WFH part sounds like a major upgrade from your previous employer.

Yay @VarunaTT! Congrats.  Hopefully a wfh groove kicks in soon.  
I love Halloween more than anyone but I bought some really cool dark and morbid tanks at Rgothic in December and i want to wear a few before boots and sweaters swoop in. So I hear ya.
