Dear Prudence,
I used to be quite jealous. Then in 1999, I read Green Eyed Marriage and slightly mellowed out. But no relationships until 2023. This year, I found out my new fiancée has been hiding a Facebook account: Then she lied about having boy buddies, then she lied that she forgot she was on FB (her whole family is there), then she lied that her FB had only family on it (many men were there). I then found out about the dating site accounts…
… 35 different ones I did not know about. I became extremely jealous and very angry and very sad. I became a jerk and went through every account looking for cheating stuff. I found zero stuff but will never be sure enough to settle down. Mr. Jealousy is back now and in full force.
I have no idea why I’m jealous. I increased the borders of our relationship to be very strict. Please help me figure out healthy jealousy vs. extreme jealousy and what to do going forward. All I think about now is where she is, who she is with, and what she is doing.
—Mr. Extremely Jealous
