i hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm slowly starting to feel more rested. i didn't do anything over the weekend except take mu mom for her Covid shot. The Walgreens that we go to has a pharmacy tech named James. He is VERY good at giving her the shots, she barely feels anything. He also looks like my uncle, her son, who has passed some time ago. We both did a double take when we saw him for her flu shot. So, she likes him and that makes me happy. Sometimes I get really sad that I have so little family and no siblings.
I finished a book this weekend that I cannot speak highly enough of. It's called, The Hacienda. It's written by a Mexican American, is a supernatural murder mystery, Gothic horror set in the time after the Mexican War for Independence (late 1800s). It is SO GOOD, fascinating world building of history and culture. I truly enjoyed it enough that I looked up the author and want to read her 2nd book.
