Totally dragging today.  How was everyone's weekend?  @Casadena wishing you guys a magical week!

The kids' events were fun (I survived the camping stuff...well, not camping, but being there lol.  90min wait to shoot three arrows onto a target for archery, 30min wait to slingshot 12 pellets into a slingshot area, but whatever, DS had fun).  Had a ball at the Saturday evening gathering.  And yesterday was a good mix of getting all the things done + some down time.

If anyone has any bigger items on their Christmas shopping lists, Target is offering 25% off any one toy today.  The kids have all been talking about this random but fun looking robot dog, but it's $80.  I just grabbed it for $60, and for a group gift, that's not too bad.  Wanted to pass along!

weekend was great.  The charity event we went to was so much better last year when we went. They skimped out on a lot of food and treats. And the “entertainment” was less than to be desired. Provocative dancers with scantly clad men. Not strippers persay, because they were already stripped when they came out, lol, but the dancing was overkill with them this year.  

Wedding was good and the ride option really worked for me.  My friend and her daughter were part of the wedding party so there was absolutely nothing for me to do while they took pictures and set up.  I got there early because my ride is a worry wart about time, so I awkwardly sat around the corner as the bridal party set up. I left earlier than I wanted (no cake! Wah!) but the transportation was free, so….

I went to the Labyrinth event.  It was solid fun, though the theatre was an uncomfortable experience.  It was too warm and the seats were just folding chairs.  For being the owner of a well padded butt, it sure didn't provide any padding on those chairs.  The band was brilliant, I heard things in the music I'd never noticed before.  Highly recommend if you can catch the tour and are a Labyrinth fan.  It was also nice to see good friends over the weekend, my heart needed it.

The funeral for my friend is on Saturday and I'm leaning towards going.  I think I need to do at least the visitation, even if I skip the funeral itself.

Did my annual enrollment and glad to have a $0 deductible plan again, for only another $10 per pay period once increases were taken into consideration.  I'm miffed that I can't have an HSA with it (I don't like the restrictions on a FSA), but I'll just up my savings the amount I was donating to that and it should equal out.  Otherwise, SSDD.

Terminated my employee who was causing so many problems. There’s going to be fall out on the team but hoping it will be better in the long run.

It almost sounds like that's what he was wanting?  Are you prepared to fight the likely pushback from the team and if he fights unemployement?

We actually offered a severance package with outplacement services & pay and benefits (not indefinitely of course but a decent package). 

I’m ready for the pushback, although I think some people will be happy there’s a few folks im prepared for.

Wow.  Someone from my city just posted a video.  They had put a tracker in their Harris/Walz sign.  They tracked it.  It was a young man (18) with his mother and a friend in the car.  He opened his truck for them and had 59 Harris/Walz signs in his trunk.

I'm glad they weren't hurt because what a scary situation.  The police did show up; they found it in a nearby town, so reports/charge have to be filed here.  Reports and charges are going to be filed, I guarantee.  

Not only that, but the mother got out of the car, started grabbing the signs and throwing them at these folx, and said, "Here you go liberals" with a tone like these folx were the stupid ones for wanting their property back.  Ma'am....you and your son are common criminals.  He's EIGHTEEN.  The level of stupidity is just outrageous.

It sounds like this was a long time im coming and it just happened during your transition there! Hopefully it’s for the better!
