Struggling to Find the Perfect Wedding Shoes for Comfort and Style

Hello

I’m on the hunt for the perfect wedding shoes but am struggling to find a pair that’s both stylish and comfortable. I’ve been looking at various options, but I’m finding it hard to balance the look I want with comfort, especially since I’ll be on my feet for a long time. Has anyone found shoes that worked well for them on their wedding day?

I love the look of high heels, but I’m worried about comfort, especially since I’ll be walking and standing for hours. I’ve heard of some brides opting for flats or block heels, but I’m unsure if they would match my dress and overall wedding vibe. Any suggestions on styles or brands that are both fashionable and comfortable would be super helpful! Also, I’ve heard that some brides change into a second pair for the reception. Is this something you’d recommend? If so, what type of shoes did you go with for the reception after wearing heels for the ceremony?

Thank you !

  • Absolutely change shoes!  There is zero reason to be uncomfortable in your shoes at any point in the day.  Unless your dress is short, no one is going to even see your shoes, let alone focus on the vibe of them.  They will however focus on the vibe you give off if you and/or your wedding party aren't comfortable or if you're in pain!

Where I found my wedding shoes years ago (dress shoes now) and they're known for fitting "hard to fit feet" is a company out of Wisconsin that online goes by shoemall (.com).  Comfort and style should not be exclusive from each other.  As to what is the way to go FOR YOU is what you consider to be comfortable on your feet for standing and dancing.  You could even consider dance specific shoes/sleeks, but again, all about getting the right fit for you!  As for heel, wear what you'd normally wear when picking out a heel and can comfortably move in.  Some people aren't as comfortable in a chunk as they are with a stiletto and the other way around.  Others do better in a heel than they do in a flat.  Some it'd pain their feet more to wear a ballet slipper style than a tennis shoe because of arch support.  Choose what works for you!!!
