Bachelor party dilemma

I have an issue with my bachelor party that is stressing me out. I want to go to Foxwoods casino and resort in Connecticut this summer. I picked a weekend in July because they will have one of my favorites comedians performing. The problem is, only one person isn't available that weekend. He is going on a trip to see some family. He has been battling with depression every since both his parents unexpectedly passed away last year, so he was looking forward to joining the bachelor party. So now I'm trying to decide if I should change the weekend or not? I've asked people for their advice and I get mixed answers. Some say that it's my bachelor party and I should do what makes me happy, and others are saying I'm being selfish for not changing the date. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Bachelor party dilemma

  • If you know that's a date a key person can't make it then reschedule.   There's a ton to do at Foxwoods and the overall area in the summer and if the party is about hanging out then if you miss a show it's time you can spend doing plenty of other things like gambling, bowling, shopping, eating or looking at shows at Mohegan.
  • Thanks, I appreciate your input. I think I will change the weekend. It will be more fun if everyone is there.
