Yesterday's after-work meeting was frustrating, but the kids' Choral Night was beautiful.
Going straight to an Ash Wednesday prayer service after work/the kids get off the school bus.  We'll be a bit late (it starts at 3:30) but we'll make it work.  My bad PMS/first few days of my period symptoms have finally lifted.  Pretty SSDD otherwise.

SSDD here. It's supposed to rain here the next two days. I'm sure when I leave today it's going to be chilly. Some parts of the mountains might get a good amount of snow too. Grandparents are under flood watch but I think they'll be okay. Other parts of their town won't be, but the last rainstorm didn't cause them any trouble directly. I'm glad my Aunt is going over tonight just in case though.

Otherwise, not too much is happening here. I need to buy a new vacuum. The motor died on my old one (on my birthday) and now I'm torn between buying another Shark, or trying to invest in a Sebo or Miele for the longevity.

Had a gyn appointment this morning and she was pretty direct that she thinks I have PMDD and is starting me on a new BC pill and a supplement called Serenol that apparently helps. Also recommended that I up my vitamin D/B/calcium and after 3 months wants me to check in to see how i'm feeling and discuss possibly adding an anti-anxiety/depressant during my luteal phase would be helpful. Also need an ultrasound to check for any issues that might explain some painful symptoms i've been dealing with. I want answers, but on another hand I am just so burned out with anything medical I just want to bury my head in the sand. I always work myself up and then it's nothing.

G has a follow-up appt tomorrow and i won't be online so i can post some early Prudie today since I think short+sassy and mrsconn are probably not checking in either.

    Still so tired.

@ei34 I'm glad the choral event was good!

I'm here.  I ended up leaving early on Monday and taking Tuesday off.  I felt like poo and I slept almost the entire time. Woke up last night around 7ish and felt MUCH better.

There's not too much going on, really.  I've ordered a workbook to help with some mental issues going on.  Had to order a new pillbox b/c I lost Wednesday somewhere in my space.  I'm sure when I start packing, there is going to be a lot of THAT'S where that went.  Otherwise, SSDD.
  • Sadly I don't think we're making it out to get ashes.  Parish has services at noon and 6:30 and I think I'm going to be in insanity mode with kid activities at that point with Chiquita still at fencing.  I'm glad it's not a holy day of obligation.

We had a company meeting to talk about the acquisition which was fine.  My work day is packed but my evening cleared up and I  no longer have a planning meeting to talk about a trip we're planning for Girl Scouts next year.  Also, while intimidating on the calendar I now have Chiquita's track schedule which is basically every week day and some weekends.

I need to get a supply of sunscreen going for those weekend meets that will start up!

@banana468 I keep forgetting to tell you (kinda funny in this particular instance) re: Chiquita and clean room and ADHD.  My mother and I struggled with this as well.  Her method of dealing with it, did nothing but make her more angry.

As an adult, I repeat the mantra to myself, literally multiple times a day, "Don't put it down, put it away".  Since I really struggle with object impermanence, if I put something away from my hand that first time, I don't really have doom nests or piles or any of that happening.  I also try to have assigned spots that are glaringly obvious for the put away part (like, I have a hanger that says Keys, for my keys, wallet, and sunglasses to hang on) so that I'm not remaking a decision each time about where something goes -- which then makes me forget where it goes and destroys the whole process.

I know she's a young person so that's more difficult, but even a pretty embroidered or poster that says "Don't put it down, put it away" might help for a bit.  Maybe saying it's from an adult ADHDer might help too.  IDK, but I wanted to offer up a thing that has helped me a lot.
  • I like that line!

She's going out of town this weekend for a conference.  DH and I have a day date to go to her room and throw things out.  We both think she's storing things and holding onto items that are now either out of date or just garbage.
