Incorporate 12 yr old in a wedding

My fiance has a 12 year old who wants to walk his dad down the aisle! Super cute but he is wanting to use his nerf g.u.n and push his dad to the end of the altar… idk how I feel about this as it seems like a bad impression on my fiance not wanting to marry me.. any better ideas??

Yeah, pointing a gun at him is way too immature and hinting at violence for my taste. I get he's 12, but it's a good time to learn that jokes about hating your spouse are just in poor taste.

If it were my kid, I'd have him as my best man.

Agree, I don't see where nerf toys fit in at a wedding ceremony but think walking him down the aisle is nice.

I like that he wants to walk his dad down the aisle, but I strongly recommend nixing the nerf gun. Symbols of violence, even intended to be "cute," don't belong at a wedding. Neither does anything that suggests reluctance on either principal's part to marry-even anything meant to be "humorous." And I have to admit that this type of "joke" just isn't funny.

It's not the 1900's anymore for sho**un weddings...  Yea - no on the Nerf gun...  It can also be seen as someone objecting to the wedding which many state laws no matter done in a silly/funny matter, the wedding is off-off...
