Hope baby J is feeling a bit better @charlotte989875, and enjoy the celebration in M's class. Those preschool "muffins with mom/your special person" type celebrations are so sweet.

*Should* be a normal day at work today.  Seeing a play at the high school tonight, but going to try and get all of my cleaning done prior to that bc it'd be nice not to be scrubbing the house this weekend.
Tomorrow holds a softball game, baby shower for cousin who is currently pregnant with her first (this is the third cousin baby shower in 7 weeks, my grandparents in heaven are having a great-grandchild baby boom between the three of them and my youngest sister due this August), and then the girls are singing the national anthem at our high school softball team's "little league night", all the younger girls are invited onto the field for warm ups and then to sing.

Sunday holds mass, some prep-cooking, baking my oldest's birthday cake for our family celebration, and then going to my parents' house so my mom, sisters and I can celebrate together.

Tonight Chiquito has his crossing over ceremony from Arrow of Light to Scouts.  It's a big deal for him and I'm sad there are a few kids that are crossing but aren't continuing.   Chiquito has said he wants to achieve the rank of Eagle like DH so we'll see if that can happen!

Tomorrow I need to continue with the laundry that has piled up and I'm subbing for the vigil masses so that will take me away for a few hours.

With Sunday as Mother's Day I'm taking the kids to Mass and then Chiquita and I are heading to my parents'.  Chiquito's baseball game is likely postponed to Sunday (from Monday's rain and now likely tonight's too) so if it's cancelled I'm leaving him with DH who just wants to chill at home not feeling great and I get it.

Happy Mother's Day to the moms out there and hugs to all who are having a rough time.

Last night, I picked up eight bags of mulch and spread them over the new and existing flower beds. I could use two to three more, and I will get them this afternoon.

I'm off work at noon and will run errands after my doctor's appointment. I need groceries for Sunday's cookout, and I need to run to Walmart. Tomorrow, I will facilitate the virtual training session for work and do some cleaning touch-ups. Sunday, I'm the worship leader in the morning, and we'll host my family for a cookout at Noon. Somewhere along the way, I need to do some laundry.

Depending on time this afternoon, I'd also like to pick up my hanging baskets and flowers for the pots on either side of our garage door.  I think things will be picked over if I wait until after Mother's Day.

You guys make me tired!  Good energy vibes to everyone.

Just the movie tomorrow, Mother's Day with mom, then maybe gaming with a friend and watching the newest Dexter series with another friend.  I'm trying to just push as much as I can into enjoying my alone time and space for the last few days.  I'm going to try and start packing up my closet too, there's lots of stuff that can get packed in there that I won't use daily.

Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all! And hugs to those who have a tough time. I’ll be doing mothers day, fathers day, dads birthday and nephews birthday all during the long weekend.
Holy baby shower season @ei34! Fun!
i bow down to you @MNNEBride and anyone who likes lawn/yard work or planting. It was just never my thing.

Last night I got Morpheus 8. It’s a micro needle/RF treatment that I always wanted to try. So far, the easiest and less painful treatment of what I’ve gotten for face tightening.
thermage was most expensive and very painful. Not sure I’d do that again. I got it in February.
ultherapy was painful but do-able. Midgrade. Got that in April.
Then yesterday I got a fantastic groupon (and locked in for future sessions at that price) for morpheus 8 and they numbed the face so I didn’t find it bad at all.
my face better be tiiiiiiight as a rubber band in 5 months (all these take 5-6 months to work).

  • I'm so glad it's Friday! This has been a week. It's going to be a busy weekend, but all fun stuff. Tonight as soon as we log off, we're heading up to the mountains to camp. I convinced H to go on a little backpacking trip over memorial day weekend with a group, and he wants to do a quick trial run ahead of time. Tomorrow we'll do some hiking before we head home. Then tomorrow groceries and a couple of errands, and dinner with some friends. Then Sunday I'm going to try to get in an early run before we meet my family at a winery for Mother's Day.

    Whew, no rest for us!
  • I have been very curious about Morpheus 8.  Especially for my neck.  Keep me updated on how it's working.

And thanks for the reminder this is something I've been wanting to do more research on.

@CharmedPam - I don't like yardwork or gardening, but I like looking at a nice yard and garden so you do what you need to do lol

  • Happy Mother's Day to all and hugs to those that are having a hard time. Mother's Day has gotten easier for me over the years. Mine has been gone 22 years. DS2 brought me a cherry pie from a bakery in Dayton - yummy. Tomorrow H and I are going to dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant. I'm sure I'll hear from the other two kids sometime on Sunday.

I've been fighting something. Scratchy throat that gets worse at night so I haven't been sleeping well. My back and sciatic nerve are still bothering me they are getting better. DS2 and I went for a mile walk (normally no big deal) at a local nature park then I came home to iron some stuff. Probably over did it a little but it is such a beautiful day and the dog loved the walk!
