Hope everyone is doing okay!

I didn't sleep well last night, and I'm feeling it now.  Just a ton of tossing and turning, although I really do usually sleep well so I can't really complain.  Work should be pretty SSDD and the evening isn't out of control busy.

Monday night I tossed and turned - yesterday was a crash easy.  I have some anxiety induced meetings coming up but I hope they go ok.  There's a lot going on at the moment work wise that's on my plate.

Possible TMI but Chiquita got her first period on Sunday.  She's finally over 100 lbs (two years ago she was 4'10" and 65 pounds when hospitalized) so it's kicked in!  Because she got it on the first day of Pride month she named it Elton John.

DH and I decided to buy a car last night and we'll pick it up Saturday.  It's the end of an era owning the minivan we did for over 11 years.  We brought Chiquito home from the hospital in it and it took us to so many vacations but now it's literally losing its spark so its time.

Goddamn Elton John! But congrats on that new car @banana468, I know it’s not the only one used in the family, but 11 years is a good life on it. 

I’m super excited for an upcoming paranormal conference again. I got talked into it this weekend. The conference and investigations themselves aren’t costly but the whole town raised room rates and even the sketchy Comfort Inn (and I know from experience) was $300 for 2 nights. I opted for a cute b&b next town over. It was more pricey but I figure the rooms will be better, hopefully the bed more comfortable, and I’ll get a b&b breakfast and not some continental donut and weak coffee the chain hotels have - plus, the deciding factor, it’s in a very safe town and one night I’ll be coming back (by myself) after 2 am, and the other one around 10 pm, so I’ll have ease of mind with this location. My friend who went with me on the last one I attended didn’t respond to my text, so I’m thinking she’s a no. I know 2 people going and while we all have different after conference events, I’ll have someone to sit with during the conference itself.

Not too much happening here. I tried to be sweet and take care of the front yard last night after work and I know I’m going to pay for it for a few days. I really really hate yard work lol.

Elton John has me cackling. 

H apologized for a lot of stuff last night, shared a lot of things he’s struggling with. We had a good talk, and said he’d commit to regular therapy. I just hope he does. 

It’s hot here (okay like 80s but that’s hot for us). M has track tonight and is super excited about it. He has kindergarten screening on Friday and I can’t believe he’s going to be old enough for big school!

@charlotte989875 my heart goes out to you.  That young kid phase is so hard and as someone married to a person who is going through major anxiety it's rough.

@CharmedPam we got the van 11 years ago and bought it used.  It's a 2011 so at approaching the 15 year mark I'm pleased.  I said I hope the new one lasts until Chiquita is nearly 30.

Not much going on here. I'm getting ready to log in to a Toastmaster Florence, Italy meeting. My Italian tutor is a member and asked if I'd like to "sit" in on it. It is partly in Italian and partly in English. Hopefully I'll be able to understand at least some of the Italian.
