Superintendent conference day here. By the grace of God there’s no motivational speaker on the schedule. Nice to see all my coworker friends again

Happy hump day!
thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday. Turned out to be a good night accommodating everyone and seeing Clue, my one friend and I will see Weapons tomorrow. 

I’m proud of myself. I saw an add for “instasculpting” online at 45% off to new customers. So I took the bait and made an appointment. Only to find out instasculpting is basically cavitation and radio frequency. Both which I’ve done in the past and no, it doesn’t work. Also, I go to a medspa that does it for $59 a 1/2 hr. And this company wanted me to purchase a package of 10 (45 min sessions) for $230 each. Ummmm why would I do that? Old me would have caved and felt pressure to buy. New (broke) me - nuh uh. I even told them the truth. I’ve done this before with no results. “Well you’re the first person to say that. Everyone has gotten results here”.
ooooooh so you’re trying to sell me something and using the ‘ol 100% success rate line. Who woulda thought?

Trying to focus on work amid the news of a school shooting in our state.  2 children are dead, and 17 are injured, according to the current report.  It's heartbreaking.

I had a class to teach this morning and a busy afternoon of meetings. Otherwise, there is nothing after work today. I should figure something out for dinner. The weather continues to be fall-like and beautiful. There is a chance of rain this afternoon.

I just read about the school/church shooting. Horrifying to say the least.

We were at DS2's house from Saturday until yesterday. Now we are at DD's house until tomorrow. I'm ready to be home.

It’s all horrifying. How do we send our kids off to school here? 

M’s last day of daycare. I’m taking the next few days off and we’re visiting Toronto to see the museum and aquarium. Then probably camp for a day. He starts school on Wednesday!

I've been so busy today I didn't even see the news until I popped on here. I'm so sad and angry and just so fucking tired of it all.

We leave for Vegas tomorrow. I am mostly excited. I'm a little nervous about the people we are going with but I'm just prepping my mantra "not my circus, not my monkeys." If things get too crazy, we have a separate hotel and Vegas has an insane amount of things to do.
