Weekend was really nice.  I’m at work and the kids are at school, it is nice to be back in a routine.

I got a new glasses last week and definitely getting used to the new prescription. I'm not convinced they have blue light blocking and they're supposed to. We'll see. Tomorrow starts the insanity of September where i'm gone for 2 night every week. Hopefully not traveling until December after that. 

Weekend was nice. My ILs are LOUD and the bday party was fine. Got a lot of organizing and purging done yesterday with my mom. On the right track for sure but lots more to do!

I usually get blue light blocking in my eyeglasses too, but I didn’t add them to my new order. I was testing out the difference too.
Weekend was a mixed bag. Some good parts. Some bad. I was yet again stuck in the middle with my parents and brother. Apparently they’re not talking to one another again, but I don’t think my brother knows it? I felt pulled into two different directions and had to lie about why my parents didn’t come to dinner. Counseling has always been on the table, but they have never looked seriously into it. 

So glad it’s a wfh day right after a holiday, though!

Weekend was great!! Pool time at H’s brothers, lots of playing outside together. I took the day off since M starts tomorrow and has orientation from 2-3 today. He just got stung by a bee so we’re having a morning. Wish us luck!

I had a good weekend.  The apartment is coming together.  There is some stuff I'm going to get rid of and replace with more "tiny" living tools.  Lots of packages coming over the next few days.  I went out of town on Saturday and came back Sunday.  It was a good visit and nourished me in ways I needed.  Yesterday I went shopping for a few things I needed that I wanted to see before buying.  Being in my own space again is such a massive relief.  I'm still reeling a bit about everything that happened, but I'll get it processed.  OH...so I have an aunt T that is not what I consider a good person.  She texted me last night, wanting me to call her.  NO MA'AM.  The family members are stirring up a ton of drama amongst all of them and I'm just staying out of it all.  They can do their things with each other, I'm uninterested in participating.

Otherwise, SSDD.  I'm really working to get back to my previous routines and mental stability.

Well, we are home and I have COVID, continuing in the theme of, “I haven’t had a vacation in five years where I haven’t been sick.” Overall we had a pretty good trip aside from getting sick. We got a free upgrade with our room and we got into a mini cabaret show without reservations which was fun! H really liked his super car driving experience. I am just super bummed to be sick and I feel like I’m wasting the rest of this week that I have off on stupid Covid. But overall the trip was good. 

We have a good home for Tapioca and I hope I’m well enough on Friday to drive her down to my friend’s house. It’s H’s birthday tomorrow but I am not feeling too confident about being well for it. If I go by symptom onset it’s day 6 for me (my aging ass thought my sore throat for 2 days was acid reflux from the sudden late night food and influx of drinks) but if I’m still feeling bad it’s going to mean a quiet boring night for H.

Hope you feel better soon @levioosa. And of course the covid vaccine is now nearly impossible to get if you are under 65! Don't get me started.

Weekend was good. We had neighbors over on Saturday for a spontaneous dinner. It was fun and I think they really needed it. Sunday we had a gathering for the father of the owner of our favorite Italian restaurant. He is here from Italy and his son thought it would be nice if some Italian speakers could come out for some socializing. I'm a member of the Italian Heritage Society of Indiana which is why we did that. It was a gorgeous evening so we were outside. Lots of fun conversation in both English and Italian along with some great food and drinks.

Yesterday was pretty low key with some cleaning thrown in. Today H and I talked to a travel agent about a trip to Scotland for next summer. Now I'm preparing for my first Toastmaster's speech. Not sure I'm going to stick with TM but it does give me a chance to listen to native Italian speakers (it's a TM of Florence group.)
