When should I schedule my bridal appointment before the wedding?

After you've set your budget, guest counts, and ceremony/reception location. Some ceremony sites have attire restrictions such as places of worship, you don't want to go shopping, pick out a dress and find out "SNS NOPE!" on the dress...  Some require straps/sleeves/modesty/etc. and going as far as they want a picture of you in the dress that doesn't get shown to the groom, but still...  The budget is the big  part because you don't want to be walking into a high end boutique if your budget isn't.  Also, when you set your dress budget, remember you're going to have alterations, potentially a busk, crinoline, shoes, headpiece, veil, etc. that can double it.  It is easy to go up in budget than it is to go down!
