Hi. Recently I worked as a contractor providing videography services for Yours Truly Media. I am posting here today to share my experience. I accepted and completed 4 wedding assignments for them and have since learned that they have a horrible reputation in the wedding industry for not paying their contractors. After a lengthy delay, and a series of excuses from their accounting department i finally received payment for the July wedding but they have not paid my remaining invoices and do not respond to any attempt to contact them. Upon chatting with other freelancers I learned what a terrible reputation they have in the wedding industry. A quick surf online showed that they have a habit of changing their company name to refresh their tarnished reputation, an f rating with the better business bureau as well as many unansweredclaims againstthem for non payment, a class action lawsuit had been filed by unpaid contractors, I also found many posts on various platforms from disgruntled contractors who have been waiting for a year or more to be paid for their work as well as from very unhappy bride's and grooms that didn't receive refunds for poor service or experienced no shows by the photographer or videographer on their wedding day. Contractors are bailing on bookings at the last minute with no time to replace them and/or refusing to hand over footage/images captured at weddings because they are not getting paid. Do not hire this company to capture your cherished wedding day! Freelancers do not work for this company.
