How did baby J do through the night @charlotte989875?  Fingers crossed you got some rest.
@charmedpam we were supposed to have a chance to view the Northern Lights last night, but it was extremely overcast.

Today has been quieter than yesterday so far, thankfully.  The kids have drama until 4:30, so I'll come home to a quiet house which is nice.  Cub scouts this evening with a side of begging my 6th grader to do her homework thrown in.

Tried to see some Northern Lights last night and it was a big fat zero. I saw some people nearby in the mountains post some cool pictures. I wonder if we just had too much light pollution in the city. 

We're supposed to get an Atmospheric River here tonight and through the weekend. Unfortunately it's a weekend where we have to drive super far for the family Thanksgiving. It's a tradition thing but I can't help but feel like it's time to let it go. Literally no one lives out that direction. It's a minimum 1.5 hour drive for this one restaurant. But saying anything to criticize it is criticizing the deceased so I have to keep my mouth shut. 

Otherwise, SSDD. I slept horribly last night so I am tired today. I need to drag myself to the gym if possible. I just feel in a gym slump.

Baby J was not cooperative. He woke up at 3 wet (like his jammies and sleep sack were peed through too) and wouldn’t go back in his crib. So we snuggled until 5 when he would agree to let H get him a bottle of milk. Maybe tomorrow? 

I’m exhausted and barely functioning. How did I do this for YEARS with M?? 

M had night 2 of skating last night and he did so good! He was so proud of himself he showed H everything he was learning then said “it’s a lot easier on the floor because it’s not as slippery as the ice”.

Boys have been super fun this week - barring a few meltdowns from G. He's working through feeling about unfairness and control - he flipped last night becuase N wasn't doing their obstacle course "right" and this morning was mad that H was going to walk N to school but I didn't have time to walk him and just full on refused to get in the car for a good 15 minutes. I'm sure getting zero chances at kindergarten to decide what he's doing/when/for how long is hard (especially after 5.5 years of Montessori that is mostly student-led) and it's all bubbling up at home. We'll get through it, it's just hard to see him so upset. 

H has a work thing tonight so i'm doing breakfast for dinner with the boys and we'll have a fun mom/boys night.

I am tired too.  IDK if it's the time or weather change or both, but I'm crashing out around 9 and am dragging myself out at 7ish.  Maybe it's the world outside too.  Work is also just BUSY, so after I'm finished for the day, my brain just wants to be left alone, not have to push me to do more stuff.

I got my Nightmare Before Christmas Lego Set.  It has SIXTEEN BAGS!! of Legos.  My other largest one had 14 I think.  Spent a few hours doing bags 1 and 2 last night while listening to a podcast.  I'm trying to stop vegging in front of the television so much.  I think it'll be really cool when it's finished and I have no idea where I'm going to put it.

Work is making me stabby this week. Everything is broken and everyone is pissed and grumpy. It's a struggle and all I want to do is run away and hide. 

Not much else going on. I decided to go up to Kentucky for thanksgiving, but we decided to travel the weekend before and do some distillery tours and then get a few days of just hanging around with grandma before the chaos of the holiday. I'm excited, but also suddenly have a bunch of extra stuff to do to get ready for this trip.
