Totally trudging through.  Taking my small victories which today include the kids all having after school clubs until 4 and taking the late bus home, so I'll have a nice pocket of quiet time for an hour when I get home.  I should probably take inventory of the kids' gifts.
  • Yay for quiet time @ei34

I also need to take stock of gifts. This year i've kind of purchased small things throughout the year and put them away, but also just bought a few more things and need to make sure i'm balanced between kiddos.

G wants to do a small bday get together with some buddies and shockingly all of them are available at the date and time we were wanted- i was a hoping to avoid a big "party" but honestly it's cheaper to just get the package than to pay for 5 friends and a couple little brothers separately. So we're doing the trampoline park or an indoor playplace/climbing thing. I'm leaning toward trampoline. Need to book tonight!

H had a little outburst this morning and i'm so irritated. He's been super annoyed that the boys have been in slow motion the last few days (obviously, it's the time of year and coming off a week break). It's annoying but it happens. At one point, G asked "daddy, please stop yelling at us". On our way out I asked if we could  move the snowblower in the garage over a bit bc I couldn't get by with backpacks/workbags/winter gear and he lost it and started ranting about how no one helps him, we need a better morning routine, no one ever listens to him, and then slammed the door and threw something in the garage. This shit is exhausting and he's acting worse than the children. Somehow his reaction will be my fault. Sorry for the rant, i'm seeing my therapist today too and will chat about things there.

Ugghh I'm sorry @Casadena.  Rant away, that's why we're here.  Completely immature, unfair and inappropriate on H's part.  I'm glad you'll have therapy later and yay for the party coming together for G.
  • @Casadena, DD had the twins' birthday party at a trampoline/sports park and said it was wonderful. We didn't go because we had a conflict because she ended up having to change the date of the party.

I have a stay home day so hopefully will get some stuff done. I too need to inventory gifts to make sure things are fairly even - I'm big on that. It doesn't have to be exactly the same money amount but not horribly far off.
  • Hi All- I’ve been MIA  bit; long days of onsites at the office this week and I’m just spent by the end of those. Things have been good here; boys are excited about Christmas, M is learning how to add and spell and keeps telling us how words are spelled- it’s the most adorable.

I’ve done very little shopping or planning so I need to get on it!
