Wishing all healing from anything tough this past year, a Happy and Healthy 2026!

My family and I are all so sad over Tatiana Schlossberg’s passing. My parents both remember exactly where they were when they learned of JFK’s death, and I guess have both felt a kinship with the family, along with their sad moments, all these years, passed on to my siblings and me. My mom is a bit younger than Caroline and even used to sometimes get confused for her (they attended the same college at the same time). Just really sad. 

I have a pot of beef stew going right now- this has been a low and slow cooking week, with lots of quiet time under blankets for the kids and me.  Nothing really planned for later, I can’t see being awake past my usual 9:30 or so. I hope everyone who has been working this week has off tomorrow!

I'm working with a hard stop at 3:30 to get the family to the vigil mass tonight in the hopes that we don't go tomorrow at 9 AM since because I want to be in PJs at that time. 

I'm hoping tonight's meal is fish because I've eaten SO MUCH meat between making a roast for Christmas and then meatballs to make Chiquito happy.

We have no plans so I'm hoping for family game nights.

i’m very happy because I set up a new years night at Pinstripes but our plan was
8 - 9:30 social at the bar
9:30 dinner/snacks
11:15 bocce ball
12:00 countdown

I didn’t love that because the 11:15 ran into the countdown party. So I called today and they must have had a cancellation because we got in for bocce at 8:30 now. Everything wont be rushed and super casual.  

My projected NYE outfit didn’t come in on time, so now I have to go into my closet and find someone I already own. Bah! I like new outfits lol. But really, I won’t have a problem finding something. Most people are flabbergasted at my closet(s) when they see them:
