    We ended up with 14", phew.  Schools were closed yesterday but are back open today.  It's very cold but the roads are okay.  
    Hoping for a normal day at work, this afternoon/evening should be somewhat uneventful.  
  • Everyone is back at school today! It’s super cold and we’re way out of routine but I dragged myself back to the office too. 
  • Last couple days have been nuts at work with the weather and snow. Ready to be out of crisis mode there. N has been waking up a ton at night lately and I'm not sure what to do to help or encourage him to not get up. He looks so tired in the morning (as do I!) and i just worry he's not getting good sleep. Having dinner with a friend tomorrow night which should be nice and lunch today with a work friend if things are calm enough to sneak out for an hour.

    We heard from Varuna not to long ago, and I think S&S made an appearance last week.
    14” @ei34 that’s alooot of snow. Glad everyone’s almost (?) back to normal?

    ugh. I slept in today. That never happens! I got up too early so worked out, then went to bed and set my alarm for 7:59 (for an 8 am “clock in” lol), but my ringer was too low to hear it go off. Slept till 8:25! It must have been a good sleep I guess?

  • Worked out this morning then did laundry this afternoon. Sharing laundry facilities is really no fun. It has been 42 years since I've had to do that - geez I'm old. Anyway I just have one more load to do. We are at DD's this evening babysitting and will stay here overnight since they won't be home until after 10:00. We have 3 more houses scheduled for Thursday so tomorrow will be working out and hanging out at the apartment. I plan on doing DD's Peloton before we leave in the morning. I've been doing the elliptical at the Y and I think I need to give my back/sciatic a rest from that. I also need to add in weights. I usually work with my trainer twice a week - once along with H and once solo. While up here we are just working with her once a week together. I'm horrible at doing weights on my own but I know it is important to do weight workouts.

    Glad most people are back to normal - even though I know much of the SE is still digging out. I talked to a cousin in Nashville last night. They are without power and probably won't get it back on until Friday. 
  • I left my apartment and went outside for the first time today since last Thursday. I did my weekend chores like grocery shopping and laundry in advance and then did a lot of cooking to prepare for the possibility of a power outage, but my power stayed on the whole time. But it make me feel very cooped up and isolated, so I'm glad to be able to go out again. I need to get exercise. I do yoga over Zoom during the week but I need more than that.
