    Booo @ei34
There’s something they/you could say “hey, where were you at my school’s production?”  What could be more important?

My friends and I saw the Paris Hilton documentary on the big screen last night. Don’t see it! It was NOT what we thought it was. They touched up a bit on her younger years, and provo (and the tape I totally forgot about it) but it was basically just about her singing career. A concert. I didn’t even know she sang lol. I feel like her life could have been showcased a lot more.  I gave up a mystery horror movie for that.
SSDD. i have someone coming to clean my place. They keep telling me that the size of my home needs more than 3 hours. 1,175 sq ft. It does not. You can clean my house in 3 hours. The one time someone couldn’t, I watched her and she was slow as molasses. That’s the thing with this hourly cleaning rate. I know and see fast workers and I know and see the slow ones.

  • All the good vibes to you @casadena. If it’s any help at least he’s willing to go. That has to mean he’s at least willing to try.

Work is the opposite of slowing down here- just getting more and more chaotic. I’m working tomorrow but then J’s surgery is Thursday so I’m out the rest of the week. I may have deal with the stress of that by ensuring J would have an Elmo dressed as a doctor to when he comes home.
  • Good for you @ei34 for facilitating a relationship between you exH and your kids. He is a jerk for not wanting to be involved in their lives. Good vibes to you @Casadena.

We just got back to the apartment in Evanston. We spent Sunday night at DD's because SIL has a business trip this week. She works Mondays and Thursdays so we told her we'd be there to meet the Nanny. We left for Indy as soon as she left to take the boys to school. I had two doctors appointments today. We drove back here immediately after the 2nd one. It was so nice to be back in our house for the night. I got laundry done so I don't have to compete with the landlord to use the facilities here - at least for another week or so.

At the pre-op appointment I learned that I have to shower (2x/day) with a clean wash cloth and special soap the five days leading up to surgery. I also have to sleep on clean sheets night 5-1 and clean sheets again on the night before surgery. We are planning on going home on the 21st and my surgery is on the 24th. Now I'm considering going home a couple of days early just so I'm at home doing all this washing. I'll reread all the instructions I was given before making a decision.  At the spine doctor, I told him I wanted the surgery asap after my first one so we are aiming for the first week of April. He said it would be best to have it before my birthday when I go on Medicare. If I transition to Medicare prior to surgery, he'll have to resubmit everything and I might have to go through the whole PT, medications, surgery thing all over again. UGH!
  • Good luck to you and H @Casadena, I hope it all goes well and you see him taking it seriously.
No bueno @ILoveBeachMusic, fx you can get it alp done before your birthday then.
