Had an early morning parent meeting that went well.  Should be SSDD otherwise.  Light day after work as well which is really nice.
  • Flu still strikes fear here.  I didn't give Chiquita tamiflu yesterday after she had an upset stomach yesterday.   She hasn't stirred yet so I'm leaving her be and will check on her after morning meetings.  Fingers are crossed that she starts to recover.  I'd rather her sleep this through as much as she can to be whole for the weekend.  Monday and Tuesday are off next week so she can pick up the slack from missed assignments at that time.
  • Tamiflu is no joke @banana468. The boys had flu A last year and getting them to take it was awful but then M said it hurt his tummy.

J had another rough night, he’s sick (again) and was up a lot (again). I know this is just our life for a while until we can do the next round of procedures but I’m also very tired now.
  • Awe sorry Chiquita isn’t feeling well :( your plan is good @banana468

ooooh doggy my gas/electric bills have been the highest ever since living in this house. Usually my electric gets a reprieve in the winter. I lost ventilation in my bedroom during my remodel, and I need heaters on when I’m in there. Oh well, I’ll pay the piper to be comfortable. I will NOT be cold.
I’m eating leftover pizza from my pizza & a movie last night. I didn’t even know it was national pizza day yesterday. My friend and I saw an early screening of crime 101 (which was supposed to have a live Q&A after it from LA, but the connection wasn’t happening). it was a pretty good movie. Halle Berry is stunning (Chris isnn’t bad either) and played at 53 year old in the movie, and didn’t even look that. I googled and she’s 59.

  • Healing vibes to you guys @banana468 and @charlotte989875

Weekend was okay. Saturday I got my nails done and did a hike. Sunday I felt pretty dead. This COVID recovery is still kicking my ass over a month later. H is feeling it too. I watched the Half Time show but otherwise didn't watch any of the Super Bowl. I saw like 3 commercials and they were all either terrible AI, horrible Big Brother 1984 vibes, or downright insulting (looking at you, MAHA Mike Tyson commercial). I loved the Bad Bunny show. I thought they did such an amazing job with the set and the messaging.

Yesterday I was supposed to have an endovenous laser ablation on my leg. It was an absolute shit show. They were not organized, it was super chaotic, and then I didn't end up getting the procedure because my leg clotted itself off on its own. Which I'm still processing. That was a draining two hours and then H and I did a walk and got brunch nearby. I am not ready for the week. I just feel so so tired. But otherwise, it's SSDD here.

  • Wow @levioosa! You walked after that? Is that what you’re supposed to do to avoid more clots? Sorry, don’t know much about that.
Wishing you one good night of sleep @charlotte989875 (I mean more is ideal, but starting off small)

  • We had the 1st twin for a sleepover last night. That meant we had to get him to school this morning. It all went well. The boys do so well one on one because they don't have their brothers to feed off of! Friday is the other twin's second sleepover night and 1st twin will be back next Sunday night since Monday is President's Day. The youngest has already been over twice. They each wanted to come twice.

I did DD's Peloton this morning after dropping GS1 at school. Tonight H and I are going into the city for dinner and to see The Outsiders. I'm really looking forward to it. A former student of one of my cousins is in it.

Tomorrow will be the Y and going to watch GS3 while the twins go get their haircut.

Healing vibes to Chiquita, @levioosa and baby J! Sleep deprivation is awful.
  • On the topic of sleep deprivation - I am absolutely zonked. G has had pretty terrible anxiety around sleeping the last week. He's keeps waking up scared, and I think he's having nightmares (though he doesn't remember details) and is having some trouble in the dark. He's been up for hours in the middle of the night. Ive started just moving him into our room in the middle of the night if he cant fall back to sleep so he's comfy with one of us. I've started accidentally falling asleep on their floor and my body HURTS.

After watching hockey this weekend, N is clamoring to take ice skating lessons so he can be on a hockey team. Found a place super close through the park district and am excited to sign him up! G asked to start piano lessons which i'm VERY into. H and I both play and always talked about making sure our kids learn the basics at least - much more fun when kid seems super interested! I was super involved kid and always loved it, so i'm excited that my boys are starting to develop independent interests and ask to do lessons/teams/etc :)

Man, someone said something about it being Monday, I believed them, just checked again and it's Tuesday and I feel like I'm going kinda crazy and have no idea what day it is now.

I found a amazing community centering around Lego on Instagram and I'm in heaven.  There's also a pretty big cross-over with Lego and F1 and I've just been so freaking happy on my one social media outlet.  I also started following someone who walks on a walking treadmill while building and I've started doing the same thing.  I can tell a difference just from moving every day AND I stay entertained since I'm usually sooooooooooo bored while working out.  I'm spending some $$ on building sets of all kinds (not just Lego), but honestly if it keeps me moving, it's worth every single penny.

Work is fine, mom is doing pretty well, and nothing really big is going on.  I probably need to start putting myself out in public more, but honestly it's just such a PITA.  I do think I'm going to start playing Mahjong at a local gaming store so that'll be some socializing.  Plus it's a queer-led store. so maybe I could meet more friends.

ETA:  The Mounjaro seems to be going well.  I am struggling with insomnia again, but that's b/c I can't use THC with the statin I'm on.  I have lost some weight and my blood sugar looks lower, though not where it should be yet.  Nothing really much to report on the health front.
