Going into testing (students) shortly so figured I'd get the chat going.

Super icy and I even fell this morning starting my car, but I feel okay.  It's looking to be a busy day - hope everyone is feeling well!
  • Chiquita's taking another day home.  She was rearing to go to school but when I walked into her room she looked at me and said "I need more sleep." And since she would NOT want to miss the extracurriculars this afternoon I'm taking her at her word.

Saying away from her and trying to stay healthy so I don't get it and can work the concessions this weekend.  No one wants to buy food from a sick mom.

I'm following the story of Nancy Guthrie and it breaks my heart.
  • Found out this morning that N doesn't have school on Monday. I knew G didn't but wasn't planning on taking the day off. Now I will for sure, hoping to find an out of the house activity for everyone.

H fell asleep in the boys room last night and ended up sleeping there all night. I feel for him, that's NOT comfy. But getting a full nights sleep from 8:30-5:30 was fantastic for me!!!
  • Sending healing and restful vibes to everyone!

Busy day at work. It's raining here. I definitely did not want to get out of bed this morning. Otherwise SSDD.

  • Okay seriously impressed @charmedpam by your plumbing skills! And you absolutely deserve an impulse trip!!

Things are same old here, everyone back to school, work is on fire (which seems like the usual here) and I have an employee who manages people and just can’t seem to get it together with his team. I’ve given him feedback, his employees have given him feedback and it’s just not getting through. Ugh.
  • @CharmedPam My mom loved her trip to Romania. Great job with the plumbing!

For those of you who have traveled...how are the Gate1 trips on a bougie level? As much as I want to be a Four Seasons gal, I can't afford it, but I try to get nicer hotels when I can and domestically use the mid to upper tier Marriott, Hilton etc type tier hotels most often. How do the trips and accommodations compare?

@levioosa, it depends where you go. We did gate1 in the South (American South lol) and 2 hotels were mediocre and 1 was really nice. We did the Europe one and all were GREAT. Some even 4 stars. I think both itineraries tried booking Hilton if they could (we had Marriott too). I remember hilton for sure because I’m a Hilton Honors member and would have LOVED the points, but you don’t get them booking through a 3rd party. Booo
And hey, I’m starting to look at things to see if I can fix them before calling a pro in. Save where you can!
