Is it rainy and gloomy by anyone else?  Total Monday weather here.  
I hope that everyone is feeling okay and had enjoyable weekends!

Weekend was really nice.   The spa on Friday was really nice.  The Benihana party was delicious on Saturday, though I don't usually eat food with so much sodium so I didn't feel my best yesterday.  We nixed the beach yesterday bc it was so gray and foggy, but still had a nice long bike ride locally.  Work should be quieter this week (since it's not a crazy battle of the classes spirit week) and I'm thankful for that.

Thunderstorms yesterday turned into 4 inches of snow overnight. Kids were excited, lol. 

Finally moving on some of the house stuff. Asbestos abatement/removal is happening thursday and the carpenters are coming Friday to frame out the the new walls/stairs. Then vacation Saturday! Not looking forward to long lines and possible delays - chicago airports have been mostly grounded for the last couple days due to wind, lots of catch up happening right as people are leaving for spring break. G has a checkup tomorrow so we're taking the boys to a museum in the city afterward for a family field trip day. 

Very much looking forward to being away for a week in the warm weather.

@Casadena! 4”? I got maybe 1/3”. Maybe. It’s so funny how everyone gets different amounts and not so far away. I knew my office wouldn’t be open, so I just automatically worked from home, despite my small snow fall.
Weekend was so crazy. The metra was INSANE on Saturday with mostly teens going in and out of the city. They closed off my concourse that I take for my train, And when they opened it, floods of teens were running, knocking things over, tripping people, bumping into things. I had to step aside to let them go otherwise I would have been knocked to the ground. I’ve never seen anything like it. First and last time I’ll take public transportation on St Patrick’s weekend. The train was overcrowded and I never wanted off one more in my life!
Sunday was a great day at my friends with her sem- annual tea party. Rain was horrible, and turned into snow but it should be over by now.

We got about 12" of snow yesterday and high winds overnight.  I had to be on-site today and was sweating it until the snow removal service came and did our driveway at 9 PM.  It was slippery driving to work this morning, but the plows had made at least one pass.  I'm back on-site Friday but WFH in between.

Sending everyone safe and warm thoughts! We are having a bad heat wave here and it’s miserable. 97-99 most of the week. But global warming isn’t real *eye roll* Unfortunately my new job keeps the office at 61-63 so I’m absolutely freezing inside all day. You know it’s cold when even the men are putting on jackets. 

It’s the first “real week” at the new job. Of course I woke up after sleeping for 3 hours and couldn’t go back to sleep. I finally got up at 5 and H and I did a walk this morning. I am so tired. Hopefully we sleep well tonight. 

Weekend was mostly good. Friday night H and I went out to celebrate at a local restaurant we’ve been eyeing since we moved in. I’m not sure how the quality used to be but I’m assuming it previously was a lot better. It’s a fancier chain restaurant but the quality was kind of terrible. We made the most of it and said day of it was “above average” to help make ourselves feel better about spending nearly $200 on a subpar dinner. The next day we both admitted we didn’t really like it. I was feeling disappointed about good quality food so I made a better dinner on Saturday night that was delicious. 

Sunday I worked for a few hours and then we spent some time just relaxing. Otherwise it’s SSDD here. There’s 2 or 3 book clubs I might try to join this week. Why are they all on the same week? I have no idea.
