Didn't post yesterday bc I didn't have a moment, it was a condensed day bc I left work early to attend my own kids' parent/teacher conferences.

The flu is tearing through my school like wild fire and I'm just hoping to avoid it.  Otherwise fairly SSDD- hoping for a smooth work day, and just counseling later today.
  • Ugh the “spring” cold season @ei34, feel for you. I was extremely busy at work too. But had a nice shopping/dinner evening with a friend.
if there’s some extra spring in my step it’s because the friend we’re trying to avoid signed up for a comedy show for Saturday with us before all this debacle happened and yesterday she backed out. I wonder of she even thinks it’s not worth it to go to anything S is registered for. Or maybe plans overlapped. Who knows? Who cares? We were planning on pulling 2 ladies aside who happen to talk about all these events were planning not on meetup anymore, but now we don’t have to.
Big (literal) storms ahead of us tonight but it was my free night to go see a movie. Ready or Not 2. Do I still go and brave this weather?

  • Ugh - Covid landed in the HS last week.  One of the students in the musical came down with it (for his 18th birthday no less) and another teacher I know had it too.  Flu hit hard in early February and I hope it's not coming back.    I've had a scratchy throat and I can feel lit turning into a cough.  No thank you.

I am awaiting a call from my gyno to schedule a polyp removal.  I had the appointment last week and now just await their team to schedule me to get in.

I was audibly grumpy with my children last night and it came to a head with both of them that I am losing my tolerance for them not putting their school and assignments first.    Last night the threats of 1) We will not be buying a car for a person who is showing us that she's not attentive to requirements and 2) I'm not interested in looking into help pay for college for someone who isn't paying attention to requirements.   We are going to get her to see a person to help with organizational management but in the meantime she's flat out ignoring me and the fire I'm lighting under her could warm the town.

  • Work just feels like getting knocked over by ocean waves over and over again.

Baby J is having his adenoids out on Monday, really hoping this helps him sleep better. Poor kiddo with two surgeries in two months.
