    We are in Holy Week mode here...dragged the kids to a 6:30am Holy Thursday prayer service before school today, they loved that  :# lol.

    Last day of school here before spring break.  The students are feral.  But I get it. I finally woke up at a more normal time today after a few days in a row of being wide awake by 3:30am, and I'm glad.

    @charlotte989875 , how has baby J's recovery been?
    @levioosa how are things at the new job?

    Happy spring break to those celebrating!

    Things are mostly good at the new job. There was a dumb micromanaging moment that really irritated me the other day and I just hope that doesn’t bode poorly for the future. Otherwise it’s been nice to have a change of pace and people have been nice overall.

    @charlotte989875 thinking of you guys.

    SSDD here. We saw Project Hail Mary last night and it was fun!

    Happy Prudie Day! We had a 6:10 pm flight out tonight to go to Williamsburg but Chicago is to get storms from 2 this afternoon lasting till at least 10. Instead of delaying it a day - we moved it to 2 so now it’s a race to beat the storms.   If I could get everyone to stop what they’re doing and place a delay storm on Chicago vibe/prayer/chant/well wish or whatever you do, it’ll be greatly appreciated :)
    glad things are going well at the job @levioosa

  • I couldn't sleep last night, and it's raining and dreary today, so I'm having a hard time staying awake.  We had freezing rain overnight, and it was slippery this morning.  Thankfully, I'm WFH and just had to be careful as I went out on the deck to feed the outdoor critters.

    I went grocery shopping after work last night, and all the Easter food is in the house.  I'm doing ham, cheesy potatoes, scalloped corn, dinner rolls and a lemon dessert.  Mom is bringing a jello salad. I did buy some candy, and the prices for chocolate is so high right now. I could have price-shopped, but I didn't have the time to run to another store.

    DH didn't sleep last night either, and it's definitely a "Lewy" day.  He's planning a nap after lunch, and I hope that helps.  He's not in a bad mood, but is very easily confused.

    no one in my house slept last night with the storms. N snuck in our room and I do not remember him crawling in with us, then G woke up to thunder and flipped out because he was alone in his room.

    Book club tonight and grateful that i've already read this month's pick becuase I have not been in a reading mood lately. (too much Bravo Summer House drama atm). Looking forward to the weekend
  • I went to my follow up appointment and everything checked out just fine. She said I don't need to come back unless I have a concern. All the symptoms I'm still having are perfectly normal and should go away by 4 months post op. She said she normally has people come back at 3 months but since I'm having surgery next week she thinks I have enough going on.

    We were to drive to Chicago today but decided not to because of the impending storms. We would have left after my appointment and driven into it all. Hope you got ok @CharmedPam.
