My allergies have been out of control.  I love spring, but phew.

Looking to be a fairly SSDD at work.  Have to try and be in more than one place at a time later today during my mom-as-uber-driver shift, but I think it should all work out.
  • Sun is coming out and it finally feels like spring! I had my oil changed and box dyed my roots already. I tried that dye shampoo all over tik tok and it doesn’t cover up the grays. Not for me anyway. I see 1/2 the comments say they do and half don’t. It seems like just a dye anyway. That’s my PSA on those. I’m having to cover up my grays more and more frequent lately. 😫

  • It’s chilly here (for us) and I’m using my illicit heated blanket at work. I found the “hard” Pilates instructor, but tbh I think it’s too fast paced for me at my current skill level. Endurance and strength wise I’m mostly there but something must have been off with my form because my back is sore today and I was struggling to keep up with how rapid she was teaching and changing positions.

@CharmedPam white hairs are the thing tempting me the most to go back to blonde. They blended in way better. But then I had dark roots grow in so lose lose either way

I hope everyone has a great day!

  • Somehow, I'm caught up and ahead at work?  It makes me nervous right now.

Nothing too much going on.  My NP was happy with all of my bloodwork, just wants me to up my fiber a bit.  I had a good weekend out of town and came home with around $600 of Lego.  Mostly sets I already knew I wanted, but some impulse stuff too.  Then I have new sets coming from the May new releases, so I'm good for awhile.  F1 better come back on soon or I'm going to be totally broke (they canceled the races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia b/c of the....situation).

Otherwise, just filing my taxes tonight and reading.

Congrats on being caught up at work and the good blood work @VarunaTT DS adores Legos...man, what an incredible yet expensive habit lol

Do they announce the levels of the classes on a schedule @levioosa, so that you know what you're getting in to?  Or are they all the same and it just depends on the instructor?

Yes! When I see good reviews I’m like “are you blonde? Because I literally have black hair and you can see it all!”

@VarunaTT. I bet your lego = my Perfume obsession

  • @ei34 it looks like it just depends on the instructor. One instructor seems jazzed to do hard af workouts each time I’ve seen her. The demographics of that gym skew younger however so I’m not sure how that might be playing into the teaching style. The other two instructors I’ve liked that are slower paced focus a lot more on form and breathing. Still challenging but on Monday I was dying a little with the more advanced moves plus fast pace. I feel like I’ll probably eventually do a one and one or two and one mix of the more advanced workout with the slower ones. While having a “Pilates body” would be great I don’t think that’s in the cards for me, but I am really invested in strength and increased mobility long term. I’m trying to cross train more to both shock my body into a new routine and improve my gains and to lessen chances of injury.

  • Lego is kinda weird.  I think it's usually a decent price point (it usually figures out anywhere from $.07 to $.15 per brick) unless you're buying an IP (LoTR, Marvel, etc) and then it can get outrageous.  Especially when they're big sets, LoTR, and Pokemon both have $600+ sets.  I haven't spent more than $230 on a set.  That one was for my big McLaren which was the championship F1 car last year.  While that was expensive, it was priced well for it's size and difficulty.  Plus there are lots of other companies that have just as good quality reputations, are better sets, and are cheaper (Pantasy, Lumibricks, etc).

I have fallen deep into the AFOL (adult fans of Lego) rabbit hole.

@VarunaTT that's what costs me, DS is all about the IP sets.  Harry Potter, Star Wars...there was a Legends of Zelda set that he asked "Santa" for in December that cost over $300. Made sure to tell me that he asked Santa instead of me bc he knew it was expensive, so the elves could make it instead of me having to buy it.  But yes, I agree that the more straightforward brick sets are more reasonable.

@levioosa yes to form and breathing.  Good luck as you get to know the different instructors.
