I feel like I’ve been MIA lately/ work has been chaos, Baby J and all his appointments, but trying to get caught up! 

@MyNameIsNot I’m sorry to hear about the job- hopefully the market isn’t terrible and you can take the severance, reset, and find something quickly. If you take something internal do you give up your severance? 

@CharmedPam and @ILoveBeachMusic how are you both feeling and recovering? 

@short+sassy are you lurking around? I watched a National Geographic documentary about Katrina this weekend and realized we hadn’t heard from you in a while (unless of course I’ve missed it!). Hope you’re doing well!

How is baby J doing @charlotte989875?

i’m healing nicely. I think the right cream is helping. But people keep asking me “what I got done” or “what happened?” (What I got done is insulting because most people don’t know I get things done lol)

Saturday was MJ live concert (the Las Vegas cast) and it was amazing. I would suggest it if it comes in your area. Although a whole family sat in-front of us and when the concert started the dad/son (with very loud voices) started to have a casual convo. Like, it’s OK to lean over and say something about it as your watching. We did. But this was a full on loud convo. So one of our friends said something. He was like “oh you can hear us? He should sing louder then”. Jerk. “This is my Dad. I only see him 3 times a year. I love him”.
And? I only see my Dad 3 or 4 times a year. I love him too. we don’t really think concerts/plays/musical/movies are the time to start a Ted talk. 

When we left, he said loudly “oh good. The Karen’s are gone”.
well, jokes on you, sir, one of us IS named Karen. 

Then on Sunday was the shower for my friend’s daughter. Despite the friend we’re trying to avoid coming in and taking the last seat at our table (I think she had 2 or 3 meetup girls table going on), we had a really fun time. I haven’t been to one in a long time.

I’m back from vacation and I’m sad about it. We had SIL and her H over last night and I made a cake and beef stew since it was cold and rainy out. I forgot how good stew is lol. Or (not to toot my own horn), maybe I just love my beef stew. 

We had a mostly good trip. BIL got pretty drunk and was being a lot and I felt bad for SIL. She had to corral him on her birthday. But overall it was fun. It felt too quick. The pool was so nice and I could have had a whole second pool day. 

Otherwise SSDD here. 

@CharmedPam that would have annoyed the shit out of me. I probably would have told an usher. Call me a derogatory name all you want. This is a concert and it’s disrespectful to the performer and the audience to treat it like you’re listening to the radio. You want to talk? Fine, go to dinner or a coffee shop, or go to the park and play music on your phone. People are so obnoxious.
