We had a total rain out all weekend, with temps in the 50s.  The sun did peek out yesterday afternoon which was nice.  I got some decluttering and organizing done.

Should be a fairly SSDD and a somewhat uneventful week.

Weekend was nice! Saw IL's Saturday afternoon, went to the pool Sunday and Monday and generally just ran around and chilled at home.

What a bust of a weekend!

I hiked with Chiquita Saturday and it was just so dreary.  We cut the time short and wound up back home Saturday afternoon.  Chiquito participated in a candlelight vigil service for Memorial Day that was moved inside and it was nice to see him participate and get complimented on how he behaved.

Yesterday it FINALLY cleared up by mid day and the kids marched in the town parade.   I'm hoping for a nice weekend so I can plant this Sat/Sun because this weather has SUUUCKED.

Weekend was pretty good. I'm just tired. I spent most of Saturday cleaning and shopping and H ended up doing most of the volunteering. He did over 12 hours on Saturday. I asked him if he needed help with the cleanup but he missed my message. He worked so hard. He got a lot of compliments from vendors thanking him for his responsiveness and organization. Honestly the event was so lucky to have him. It would have been a mess otherwise. Sunday SIL and her H came over and we had beef brisket and played some yard games and it was a beautiful day out (sorry everyone who had terrible weather).

Yesterday we just spudded most of the day. We started Widow's Bay on Apple TV and it's pretty good. It's a horror show (that's more like Dark Comedy than outright horror) about a small Northeast Island town that is trying to get tourists so the town doesn't die out. But the island is haunted, everyone who lives on the island is a little weird and superstitious, and the mayor (who is an "outsider") is just trying to make the island a success in the midst of it all. It was a really fun watch. We're all caught up now and the next few episodes come out on Wednesday.

Otherwise, SSDD. I might have to wear headphones at work today. My LVN has the music on. so. loud. I'm not hungover because I didn't have drinks yesterday, but it just feels a little too loud for a Tuesday after a long weekend.

  • I hope H gets some recognition @leviossa. That sounds like a loooooong day.
Sorry for people with the bad weather. Shockingly the rain on our forecast didn’t come (or if it did, it was at night or when we were at an indoor party).
You know that make up vanity I had someone put together for me on Friday? The guy was at my house for 5 hours!!!! 5. He asked if I put the time slot order in, and I said “nope. When I bought the dresser I clicked “install” and wayfair set up the appt for me”. Apparently they only put a 2 hr time slot for a 5 hour job. No wonder 3 people cancelled on me! They probably saw what it was and knew they couldn’t put it together in 2.
I really hope he told Wayfair the corrected time and they compensated him for it. Not with my money, because I was quoted a flat rate (that honestly really seemed too good to be true) and he probably gets paid by the hour. If I was charged any more for assembly, I would have just went to a furniture place and got something of better quality already put together for a couple hundred more. This dresser looks good, but flimsy and not the best quality. And actually a cabinet drawer doesn’t even close right, which I didn’t notice till he left.
